Description
We are a couple from Ireland, Fynn and Lauren. We are both students studying fine art and Lauren studies art education. I, (Fynn), have been studying in Caldas da Rainha since Feburary for Erasmus and we both love Portugal so much that we want to stay and explore the country together for the summer. Apart from our interest in art, we have a strong relationship to the natural environment and are passionate about sustainability and living in an eco-friendly way. We are both calm and kind-hearted people and would love to get to know people on a meaningful level.
About Fynn:
I focus all of my art around ecology, native plant species the use of organic materials. Using art, I try to promote sustainability and environmental awareness. I grew up in a rural village on the coast and learned a lot of practical skills and DIY from my father who renovated the family home. Now, my parents live in a native woodland in north-west Ireland and we are all learning about sustaining the native species and making the place flourish. I would like to pass on skills I learn on eco-projects and land cultivation. I have been passionate about sustainable living for as long as I can remember and it is my dream to one day to live self-sufficiently.
I practice yoga most days and love hiking and outdoor activities.
About Lauren:
I’m currently studying to become an art teacher, and I’m really passionate about both making art and helping others engage with it. My own work is often centred around my own identity, and I use a range of mediums.
I was a Girl Guide leader for six years, which I loved, it taught me a lot about working with young people, being patient, creative, and supportive, as well as organising activities and creating a positive environment for others.
Outside of art, I love nature. I love spending time outdoors. Music is also a big part of my life, I love going to live gigs and festivals.
I’d describe myself as open, friendly, and easygoing. I’m always excited to learn new skills, meet new people and have fun. -

Since living in Caldas da Rainha, Fynn has been learning Portuguese and would love to practice and improve. We would both like to share the Irish language with people as it's sadly dying out. -

Lauren has experience with teaching children and teenagers.
Fynn has experience in the promotion of sustainable living and as an activist for climate justice.
We both have experience working in hospitality, Fynn has worked in restaurants and bars and Lauren has experience working in retail and customer service. -

We are always up for a challenge and throw ourselves into any tasks. We love learning and are ready to put our hands to anything. We love animals, (especially cats) and connecting with wildlife, getting all that vitamin D from spending time outside!
To let loose, we are both Drag Queen performers. We often do comedy performances and just love to be sassy, have fun, and bring joy. We are big advocates for the LGBT community and would love to meet people with the same values. There are better things to be doing than hating someone for being who they are. We are out and proud! -
