I am a curious and adventurous person who truly enjoys discovering new places, cultures, and ways of thinking. I originally studied at a university in the Netherlands, and I am currently continuing my studies at a university in Malaysia. Living and studying in different countries has helped me become open-minded, adaptable, and comfortable in international environments.

People often describe me as someone who is eager to learn and explore. I enjoy stepping into the unknown, whether that means traveling to a new country, meeting new people, or trying something completely different from my daily routine. Traveling motivates me because it allows me to grow personally while connecting with others on a deeper, more human level.

I am especially interested in traveling around Europe, as I would love to experience its diverse cultures, histories, and everyday life beyond tourism. Coming from an academic background and having lived in different parts of the world, I am fascinated by how culture, art, and lifestyle shape people’s values.

In my free time, I love reading novels, listening to music, and visiting museums and art galleries. I enjoy quiet, reflective moments as much as meaningful conversations, and I believe these small shared experiences are what make travel truly special.

Through Workaway, I hope to contribute positively, learn from my hosts, and exchange ideas, stories, and skills. I am motivated by cultural exchange, mutual respect, and the joy of learning through shared daily life. I look forward to becoming part of a community and creating meaningful memories together.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a sociology major and have studied both in the Netherlands and Malaysia, with a strong academic focus on culture, society, and human interaction. Through my studies, I have developed a deep interest in cultural differences and intercultural communication, and I actively seek opportunities to engage in cultural exchange in both academic and real-life settings.

I am currently taking communication-related courses at university, and I am highly motivated to put this knowledge into practice through cultural exchange and daily interactions with people from different backgrounds. I believe Workaway is an ideal environment to apply what I have learned while continuing to grow through hands-on experience.

I have gained a wide range of practical skills through internships and part-time experiences, including sales, private tutoring, and various general support tasks. These experiences have helped me become flexible, reliable, and comfortable taking on different responsibilities as needed.

I am fluent in English and a native Japanese speaker, and I am happy to support language practice or cultural learning in an informal or structured way. I am also comfortable with physical work and enjoy tasks that require energy and consistency.

In addition, I have solid computer skills and can use Microsoft Word, Excel, and other basic office tools confidently. I am organized, quick to adapt, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Overall, I bring strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, physical capability, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning and helping others. I am eager to contribute positively while deepening my understanding of people, culture, and community through Workaway experiences.
