Being near the water: I’ve loved the ocean since I learned to surf at the age of 5. Playing water polo for most of my life has deepened my connection to water and teamwork. Whether it’s surfing, swimming, or simply being by the sea, the water has always been a source of joy and inspiration.
Food and sustainability: For the past 8 years, I’ve been deeply involved in organizations combating food waste, primarily at the retail level. Now, I’m eager to connect with food systems in a more meaningful way by engaging directly with their roots—working with the earth, understanding its cycles, and fostering a sustainable relationship with the planet.

Entrepreneurial Spirit: I started my own business to fight food waste, where I secured funding through pitch competitions and grants, built a website, and led outreach programs. This taught me how to be resourceful, creative, and adaptable.
Farm and Outdoor Experience: I’ve spent time volunteering on farms, helping with planting, harvesting, and maintaining gardens. I enjoy working with my hands and being close to nature while contributing to sustainable practices.
Building and Improving Systems: At a surf school, I streamlined their operations by introducing new software for payments and program management, saving time and boosting customer satisfaction. I love finding creative ways to make things run more smoothly and efficiently.
Tech-Savvy and Creative: I’ve built websites, managed marketing campaigns, and worked with tools like WordPress and Canva. I enjoy blending creativity with practicality to support projects. I also enjoy writing and photographing.
Working with Kids: I managed the surf school’s most popular after-school program, where I taught ocean safety and surfing fundamentals. I was a highly requested instructor and loved helping kids—especially girls—build confidence in the water and find their place in the surf lineup.
Communication & Teamwork: My background in sales and project management has honed my ability to work with diverse teams, communicate clearly, and adapt to different environments. I’m organized, proactive, and love contributing to group efforts.
