Description
Hello! I am currently taking a gap semester from university. As I write this I am coming to the end of eight months living in Japan: working a ski season for three months, travelling for one and then doing a semester exchange for another four. I am motivated by challenging myself and gaining new skills, but just overall collecting stories from travelling the world. I also love meeting new people!

My native language is English, and I am happy to and capable of teaching it to others. I have been learning Japanese for the past six years and have studied for one semester in Hokkaido University in which I took classes at an advanced level. I am able to understand some Chinese but I lack in speaking ability (though I am learning). I am interested in learning other languages as I meet people from many different countries! -

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have two years of experience working in a cafe. I also have worked a winter season as a multi-role hotel staff member, in which I served as a receptionist, housekeeping staff, and also barista. Although these are all jobs within the hospitality industry, I am enthusiastic about a variety of different work, including farm work, jobs involving physical labour and working with animals. I consider myself to be a great team member, as I have coordinated with many different types of people across many different kinds of work, including academic group work within university (both Australia and Japan), in hospitality jobs (both Australia and Japan), and volunteer work in other countries (Indonesia).

My hobby is bouldering/ indoor climbing! I also enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the winter when I have the opportunity. When I am at home I enjoy experimenting with cooking and also practising latte art. At the moment I am quite interested in farm life and would love an opportunity to stay in an area where I can appreciate nature.
