Hi there! I'm Emma, 25 from the UK.
I have got a flight booked to come to New Zealand at the end of September 2023 and I am very excited to live out my dreams of travelling and exploring the world solo!

I am a huge animal lover, eat a largely vegetarian diet, love cooking (always have done), I love to spend time outdoors and enjoy soaking up all the wonderful things nature has to offer. I enjoy practicing yoga and mindfulness and appreciate any environment that supports this way of life.

Many things bring me happiness, I like helping others and bringing smiles to their faces, learning new things and coming up with creative ideas to improve something, or make something new. I love music and enjoy listening to lots of different genres and always make sure to fit a festival into my summer each year. I am quite a creative person and enjoy using my imagination to create something beautiful!

I have 5 years of experience working in catering roles, including working as a Barista, then working as a supervisor in a very busy café, and also being helping to manage a fast-paced Thai restaurant over two years. This has gained me endless skills including people management and also practical skills such as handling money, managing bookings, etc.
I also ran the social media pages for the restaurant, such as instagram, facebook & twitter.

For the last 4.5 years I have worked in office based environments in demanding jobs, my previous job was in Property Management and before this I worked in Pensions. From this I have developed great typing skills and am proficient in Word & Excel. I am good at time management and can offer any help with admin work that might be required.

I am happy to turn my hand to anything that needs doing. I am healthy and in good shape so I am able to work long hours and do manual work too, such as help with an eco-project. I have previous experience working with horses and I grew up around horse stables, so would happily take on any equestrian based work.
