Hello potential hosts,

My name is Elina, I’m a 20-year-old student studying at TU Darmstadt. I’m originally from India, and in January 2025 I packed my life into two suitcases and moved to Germany for my Bachelor’s degree. I plan to continue with a Master’s and, eventually, build my life here.

Last Christmas, during a short trip to Munich, I completely fell in love with Bavaria. Something about the landscape, the pace of life, and the connection to nature felt right to me. Since then, I’ve had a strong wish to experience life closer to the land and understand what it really takes to care for animals, a home, and a piece of earth.

I do have big dreams — maybe too big for someone my age — but I know they don’t happen overnight. I don’t expect to learn everything at once. I want to learn slowly and realistically, by living, helping, observing, and doing. Reading can only teach so much; real understanding comes from experience, mistakes, and guidance from people who already live this way.

Through Workaway, I hope to collect experiences and knowledge from different places and people across Europe, and slowly shape my own path. I’m genuinely interested in farm life, animal care, gardening, and everyday routines, and I’m happy to help wherever I’m needed — whether that’s physical work, household tasks, or simply being reliable and present.

I care deeply about nature, animals, kindness, helping others, and lifelong learning. I value consistency, responsibility, and honest communication. I speak fluent English and good German, and I enjoy improving my language skills through daily interaction.

My boyfriend , Jashandeep is also 20 and studies Luftfahrttechnik at Hochschule München, he is even smarter than me and cares deeply about humans. He is social, friendly, talented, and a good helper. He is interested in learning about Philosophy, politics, religion, languages, culture, traditions, the Bavarian accent and language, and honestly so many different things. He is extremely knowledgeable and very strong so he can do anything and everything I wrote and on top of that physically demanding work. Just like me he too has big dreams of having his own farm one day.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm very good at being responsible and reliable , also just smart. General Household work/maintenence, cleaning, organizing , tidying, cooking help, assistance with animals (basic), feeding , pet-sitting, walking, cleaning animal spaces.
Although I am not vey experienced with typical farm work, there's nothing I cannot learn , I have done some basic gardening a few years ago , I will be very eager for outdoor hands-on work in any area.
I can also be independent when and only if needed. Communication is my strong suit I am good at following instructions and asking questions when I am not the most sure.
Fluent in English, Hindi and very good German.
If cultural and language exchanges are welcome im open to them, open to helping out smaller children with tutoring .

In general ,I am open and want to help out as much as I can and be as efficient as possible.

I love playing board games, it's been such a long time since ive had a chance to just grab one with a group of friends ans play. I would like to do start hiking and explore nature trails, I don't have much experience in that area so I'd appreciate any help.
I also love sketching, painting, crafts.
I recently started knitting.
Also love movie nights. hehe
