Hiya :D
my name is Edda and during August and September of '26 I'll travel around GB. I study Cultural anthropology and Spanish-/hispanoamerican studies in a german university town, so I like to learn about languages, cultures :) and living in a smaller city allows me spending time in the nature which nearby which I enjoy really much.
I sometimes babysit, since in the future I´d like to work with children. Also, because of my spanish speaking skills, I used to voluntarily accompany refugees to doctors or other appointments. Generelly, the subject of social (in-)justices and political movements is very important to me.

I am not sure, if you can profit from any particular skill of mine. But I am eager to learn by doing, and I´ve already gathered some experience in various areas - we can also try to find out together, what tasks would be best for me to do during my stay!

While staying about a week with Steve and Iryna, I had the possibilty to learn how to handicraft (starting to renovate the shed a bit) and to visit beautiful sites around their house. At my arrival, I was warmly welcomed in the family. The surrondings and the estate are very beautiful. To be around the horses while feeding them was a nice experience (and to cuddle them and the dogs). Painting the fences and volets made fun. Unfortunately, I didn't get the possibilty to ride.

Edda and her friend Lisa were both so lovely, sweet and helpful. They were with us about a week, but in that short time they did a fantastic job and were a real pleasure to have around. From the beginning, Jemima made us (a friend and me) feel very welcomed. When we made propositions she'd answer "oh yeah easy" and James and Jemima were flexible with picking us up and bringing us to the bus station. Edda was a very good help at our place. She was thrown in at the deep end when we were heading off on vacation. A team player & got along with everybody, even came back a 2nd time on travels to help us😁 I hope Adda comes back to see us again, a lady! ❤️

If you like dogs, children and the countrysite this place is perfect for you. You will learn about dogs and to understand the local irish accent from the west ;)
