Hey!

We are both born in the UK, Dom is from the very busy city of London where as Lauren is from the quiet country side of Suffolk.

We have previously volunteered on WorkAway in Japan for 3 months and had the best time getting to know a new culture and getting our hands stuck in!

We joined WorkAway because we want to immerse our selves into local cultures around the world and we feel like WorkAway will be one of the best ways to do so.
We love meeting people, during our travels so far we have met so many people from around the world and its amazing to see how different cultures are from one another.

We are both incredibly hard workers and love to get our hands stuck in!

Dom's Experience:
• Teaching children aged (7 to 17) videography at a summer camp in Pennsylvania, USA.
• Volunteering at a Elephant sanctuary which included teaching at a local school in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
• Volunteering for 3 months in Japan helping teach English
• Volunteering at a local high school, giving assistance with video work.
• Has worked in Marketing


Lauren's Experience:
• Volunteering at local brownies and guides group which involved help girls (aged 7 to 13)
• Volunteering at a Elephant sanctuary which included teaching at a local school in Chiang Mai, Thailand
• Customer service experience
• Volunteering for 3 months in Japan helping teach English
• Volunteering at a local high school, giving assistance with video work.


We both studied Media at college which involved photography and video.

We both have a love for animals and adore them! During our spare time we love exploring and see whats around the local area. We both have younger siblings who we love spending time with from going to the local park to cooking up some cakes!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We both studied Media at college which involved photography and videography.
We both have experience with children including volunteering at a local high school giving assistance with video work, volunteering at an elephant sanctuary which included hiking to the elephants every day making sure they were healthy and no serious changes nearby the elephant sanctuary was a local primary school which we helped out at every other day which was good fun, the children here were aged between 7 and 12. We taught them English which was a really rewarding experience.
I (Dom) worked at a summer in Pennsylvania, USA. I was there for a total of 3 months. Before the children arrived at the summer camp I was there for general maintenance which included painting, cleaning, and some lesson preparation. When the children arrived I taught them the basics of filming and a little bit of post production.
Lauren volunteered at her local brownie and guides groups which included her organising games and help them earn there badges by doing activities.
Lauren has also worked at her local seaside town cleaning holiday homes, for a few years during the sumer. Each house had to be cleaned to a high standard for when the guest would check in. The work was extremely fast pace as each house would have to be cleaned before the guest would arrive, but this was fun and rewarding by the end.
We have both worked in customer service environments, being face to face with the public which is good fun as you meet so many people.
We both love learning new skills and applying them when we can.

We both love playing a game of cards during our travels to past the time, we have picked up a few different games a long the way and its always interesting when we meet someone who plays the same game by a different way.

When we are in England we often like to take out our dogs for long walks in the country side.
We like to watch TV programs on Netflix when we get a chance.

We love trying new actives when we can, we recently tried scuba diving which was an incredible experience.
