Description

I work part-time as a mechanical engineer, and love to make things with my hands from wood or metal or paper, or whatever materials, sometimes useful, sometimes whimsical. I'm also passionate about bicycles, rock climbing, communal spirit, street food, interesting conversations, learning languages, and exploring all sorts of things. A current creative project of mine is turning a cargo-bike into a tiny mobile kitchen so I can serve tea and small food items in parks and other public areas around my city.

I currently live in Brooklyn, NY, where I rent a tiny art studio and regularly like to see music, attend talks, bike around, try new foods, see art, and many other cultural activities.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Experience with woodshop tools (tablesaw, jointer, etc.), hand tools, and machine shop tools (mill, lathe, etc.)
Some experience with building construction, raising walls, drywall, mounting shelves, etc.
Some experience with sewing machines and hand sewing.
Experience with various crafting skills like origami, cardboard/foamcore models, etc.
Experience with electronics, soldering, making simple electronic devices.
Programming experience with python, MATLAB, C. experience with Arduino and scientific programming.
Experience with CAD software (Autodesk, solidworks).
Experience programming industrial machines using ladder logic.
Decent home cook, good with a knife and a sautee pan.
Long-time cyclist and experienced amateur bicycle mechanic.
Expert amateur rock climber (mostly bouldering). Have taught children and adults how to rock climb and have been a route setter at a commercial rock gym.
