Hi :D I'm David a 24 year old from Colombia. What motivates me the most is the opportunity to grow while experiencing new ways of life. I really enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone, adapting to new environments, and learning from people with different perspectives and cultures.

I am currently studying Agronomy Engineering, and along my journey I had the opportunity to do an academic exchange in Brazil focused on agronomy, which allowed me to grow both professionally and personally in a multicultural environment. I also completed an internship at an organic farm in Massachusetts, and I am currently doing another internship in Ohio, where I continue learning about crop management, sustainability, and working with nature every day.

Being outdoors and connected to the land is something that truly makes me happy. I enjoy physical work, learning by doing, and seeing the results of agricultural processes over time.

I am also a polyglot: I speak Spanish (native), Portuguese and English (fluent), and I am currently learning French. Languages are a big passion of mine because they allow me to connect more deeply with people and cultures, which is one of the main reasons I am excited to come to France.

What I enjoy the most are the simple but meaningful moments: sharing meals, having good conversations after a day of work, listening to music, being active, and feeling that I am contributing in a positive way.

At the end of the day, what drives me is the chance to learn, help, and create genuine connections while enjoying the experience.

I am very interested in improving my French. I have studied French for several years, but I would like to become more fluent and confident in speaking it through daily practice and immersion. Coming to France is a great opportunity for me to strengthen my skills and progress to a higher level. At the same time, I am happy to share my own languages. I can easily teach or help others with Spanish (my native language), as well as English and Portuguese, in which I am fluent. I have previous experience as a language tutor at my university, where I supported other students in learning and practicing languages. This helped me develop patience, communication skills, and the ability to explain concepts in a clear and simple way.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a strong practical and academic background in agriculture, especially in horticulture and sustainable production systems. Through my studies in Agronomy Engineering and my international experience, I have developed the ability to adapt quickly and be useful in different types of farm environments.

I have hands-on experience in:

Greenhouse management (plant care, irrigation, monitoring environmental conditions)

Post-harvest handling (harvesting, sorting, packing, and quality control)

Crop management in both open field and protected systems

Organic and sustainable farming practices

One of my strongest areas is integrated pest and disease management (IPM). I have practical experience working with biological control, especially using beneficial insects to manage pests. This has allowed me to develop a solid understanding of crop health and has strengthened my experience in organic and low-impact agricultural systems.

During my internships in the United States, I also had strong exposure to direct sales, working at farm stands and local farmers markets. This helped me develop communication skills with customers, understand product quality from a commercial perspective, and represent the farm in a professional and friendly way.

I am comfortable with general farm work such as planting, weeding, harvesting, cleaning, organizing, and supporting daily tasks. I am physically active, responsible, and always willing to learn and help wherever needed.

I am a polyglot: I speak Spanish (native), English and Portuguese (fluent), and French at an intermediate level, which allows me to communicate and integrate easily in multicultural environments.

I am especially motivated to learn more about vineyards and wine production. I am very interested in gaining hands-on experience in vine management, pruning, and all aspects related to viticulture, and I am ready to contribute with my skills while continuing to learn.

I am someone who truly loves nature, animals, and being outdoors. I enjoy learning new things every day and I feel motivated when I can help others and contribute in a positive way to the environment and the people around me.

I am very active and sporty. I practice cycling, running, and I swim regularly. I am also a big fan of soccer and basketball. In general, I enjoy staying physically active and challenging myself. I also practice calisthenics and go to the gym frequently.

Beyond sports, I am very interested in art, music, and culture. I enjoy discovering new creative expressions and sharing experiences with people from different backgrounds.

I am a very family-oriented and social person. I enjoy building friendships, sharing good moments, and creating a positive atmosphere wherever I go. I always try to bring good energy, be respectful, and contribute to a friendly and supportive environment.
