Hi! I’m Daniela, I’m 23 years old and I’m currently studying Chemical and Biological Engineering in Lisbon. I’m originally from the Leiria area, close to Nazaré.
I love travelling and discovering new places and cultures. I first heard about Workaway while travelling through Albania with my family, when we stayed at a hostel in the mountains where some of the staff were volunteers from different countries. I loved the idea of travelling, meeting new people and being part of a project at the same time, and that’s what brought me here!
Over the years, I’ve had different work experiences, from customer service and catering to physical and practical work, babysitting, social media management and running my own small creative business. Since 2019, I’ve also helped manage my family’s holiday house in Nazaré, taking care of cleaning, preparing the house and welcoming guests.
I’m an energetic, responsible and caring person. I enjoy being useful, learning new things and doing my part properly. I can be independent and enjoy my own space, but I also like meeting new people and sharing experiences with people from different backgrounds.
In my free time, I love travelling, swimming, being near the sea, cooking, spending time outdoors and watching sunsets.
Portuguese is my native language and I have a B2 level of English, which I studied for several years at an English language institute. -

I am a very motivated, organized and happy person. I love cooking and doing household chores. I've had different experiences, such as: working in orchards, cleaning and managing an airbnb, in Nazaré, Portugal, selling t-shirts, erasmus in Hungary, babysitting, etc.
