Hi, I’m Charlotte!
I’m an active, creative person who loves exploring new places and meeting new people. I’m naturally curious and love discovering what makes each place and person unique.
My fascination with different cultures began during a French exchange. While working in a local supermarket, I realised that nothing builds confidence and language skills quite like hands-on experience. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life: working alongside people from different backgrounds, chatting with customers, and learning something new every day. It showed me how meaningful everyday interactions can be.
I’m especially excited about staying with hosts who enjoy welcoming newcomers into their daily lives, whether that’s sharing a meal, showing me around the area, or simply chatting about the day. I truly value those small, authentic moments of connection.
At the same time, I bring a strong work ethic and a professional attitude. I study languages at the University of Cambridge and take pride in being dependable, organised, and proactive. I’m not afraid of hard work, I learn quickly, and I always aim to contribute positively to a team. I would love the opportunity to spend time in France or Italy to deepen my language skills while being genuinely helpful and supportive to my host.

As a language student I am confident teaching french grammar as well as Italian. I have had tutoring experience, including teaching a young student the basics of German (my father-tongue), which I found highly rewarding. I enjoy helping others to reach their potential in foreign languages and seeing them enjoy the process of learning.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a linguist so my aim in life is to speak as many languages as possible! I find the process of mimicking and perfecting things like pronunciation highly rewarding as you can track progress by engaging with native speakers.
I am currently studying Modern and Medieval Languages. Having just completed my first year I am eager to sharpen my Italian and French and Greek skills. I have a C1 proficiency level in French, am intermediate in Italian with B1/2 level (having started learning in October) and am about to begin learning Greek.
Beyond this I have worked as an ambassador for my college where I gave presentations at schools and took part in open days to inspire students to persue higher education.
