Hi! I’m Chris, a lifelong traveler exploring the countryside with a couple of intrepid feline sidekicks, a trusty converted camper-van, and a diehard sense of adventure! In my previous life, I taught college English courses on Navy ships and traveled the world at the drop of a hat, then launched into my first cross-country vanlife endeavor back in 2018, which led to a longer-than-expected sojourn in the mystical red-rock reaches of the desert southwest.
Now, I’m leaping back into nomadic life, seasonal work, and volunteering because life’s just too short not to see new places, meet new people, and exchange ideas and skills. My latest adventure has been driving the Alcan Highway and living in Alaska for a wild summer season in the tourism industry, and I’m looking forward to heading back south and exploring the Pacific Northwest as the year winds down. With a strong background in education and professional editing, along with a range of practical skills in feline veterinary care, customer service, gardening, sculpting, creative writing, and hospitality, I’m always eager to learn new things and make meaningful connections with people from all walks of life.
If you have a spare space for a hardworking, easygoing gal and a couple of well-behaved kitties, I’d love to visit your corner of the world! With an eye toward learning anything I can about sustainability, high-yield gardening, farming, building, and animal care, I’m working toward the long-term goal of carving out a small, humble homesteading niche for myself so that I can host future Workawayers, pay it forward, and build a grassroots community of fellow wanderers and storytellers. If you think my skills and interests would be a good fit for your household, I’d love to connect with you!Centres d’intérêt

Autres infos...
I'm a digital nomad with a very flexible work schedule. In the artistic realm, I love sculpting polymer clay, and I have all the tools and supplies to host art sessions with anyone who might be interested in learning more about this versatile medium.
My long-term goal is to create a modest homestead and build a creative space for fellow nomads and a safe haven for a few rescue animals. Although I'm a DIY beginner, I'm physically fit and would be eager to work on any aspect of building maintenance or land development.Informations complémentaires
