Hello!

I am Catarina, 25 years old, and I am taking a pause to decide what I really want to become in life. Having always followed the "straight" path (studies>more studies>job), I feel I need to pause and reflect for a while before I get moving again, hopefully in the right direction. You could call it a sabbatical, I guess :D

My passions are drawing and painting (illustrations), learning new languages, nature, music, meeting people, and biological science.

I am a friendly person, I love to meet new people different from me, and I am also very loyal to my friendships, which I always appreciate and try to maintain.

I genuinely believe that travelling is a great opportunity for us to discover ourselves, because it allows us to meet new points of view and do things we are not used to. This can hopefully shed light on our own points of view and reveal to us a new way of living and thinking about life. That is the main reason I have decided to join Workaway. I discovered a lot about myself when I went abroad in Erasmus, because it forced me out of my comfort zone, and because it showed me other embracements in life.

I am looking to be of help at art-projects, farms, animal rehabilitation, eco-projects, social projects and/or language exchange.

I did a short workaway previously at a farm, and I absolutely loved it.

I must say I am a girl from a small city with loads of camps around. However, I do not own a farm (I live in an apartment) nor had the experience growing up at a farm. But I am a quick learner, and genuinely would love to help in whatever you need! I really enjoy nature, farm animals, and getting my hands dirty.

I also love dogs, and I volunteer at the dog shelter in my city, so if you need help with your dog shelter, I'd absolutely love to help you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a sweet spot for teaching, even though that is not my formation. I can teach Portuguese, English, chemistry, and biology (I graduated in biochemistry), and also school maths.

I can give a giant hand in helping to develop art projects, mainly drawing and painting.

I'd like to help with eco projects and farm maintenance.

I also love kids, so I can help with projects involving children. Especially teaching (languages or science), and art or summer camps (or similar).

I love taking care of dogs and other animals.
