Description
Hello! It's wonderful to connect on such an inspiring platform. I am a 20-year-old university student living in Wilmington, North Carolina, USA. As the daughter of immigrants, a multilingual speaker, and a migration studies enthusiast, I am passionate about traveling, seeking out learning opportunities, and connecting with people from around the world. I am deeply committed to defending migrant rights and engaging in advocacy through both research and hands-on community involvement. As a student of international studies and French, I believe in the transformative power of language and culture to build bridges, not walls. For me, travel is an incredible way to create lasting connections and grow every day on this incredible journey called life!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
As an International Studies & French bachelor's student, I have developed strong skills both inside and outside of the classroom in non-profit management, cross-cultural communication, and teamwork.
With a dedicated academic and research focus on migration studies and human rights, I have built hands-on experience as a non-profit management intern and English tutor at Church World Service Wilmington, a refugee support organization. Since beginning my bachelor’s degree, I have actively advocated for Wilmington’s refugee community through the Migrant and Refugee Support Field Lab at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where I helped amplify immigrant narratives and examined the consequences of limiting humanitarian access and restricting refugee admissions in the US. My internship offered rich opportunities to communicate cross-culturally with clients from the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa, often working alongside translators. In this role, I partnered with volunteers to facilitate positive outcomes for clients, ensuring their smooth transitions to appropriate care, community engagement, and ultimately economic self-sufficiency. I also provided ongoing case management, maintained detailed case notes, and organized client files in coordination with fellow interns. My fluency in English, Spanish, French, and Dutch has enabled me to lead résumé-building workshops and volunteer as an English tutor, further supporting clients’ integration and empowerment.
Aside from combining advocacy and research concerning refugee rights in my community, I am a frequent volunteer at my local farm that cultivates fresh produce as a way to combat local food insecurity. I have gained valuable knowledge of how to prepare land for planting and nourishing the soil so that the harvest will be plentiful. Aside from my sustained community involvement, I prioritize international engagement. I am currently working towards a C1 level in French in Pau, France, and this summer, I will be participating in a Utrecht University Summer Program called Migration, Integration, and ethnic relations. I am looking to volunteer with a refugee support NGO for a period of 2-3 weeks. -

Autres infos...
My favorite thing about myself if that I am open minded and eager to try new things and learn from others. I really enjoy being out in nature and frequently run, go on long walks, or ride my bike. As much as I love being with others, nature offers the ability to recharge alone, which is why I also really love the mountains! I recently spent a few nights in the Pyrenees with a group of people I did not know before the trek, and there, I learned how to play Tarot, a French card game! My life goal is just to grow each day, so I am truly very open to experience newness.
