Hi! We are Caity and Ryan (both 27) from Manchester, England.

We are very sociable and outgoing people who genuinely love meeting new people and getting involved wherever we can. Travel is a big passion for us, we’ve explored across Europe, South East Asia, Australia, Africa and we have just spent 9 months travelling around Central and South America.
We are both pretty used to new places, new routines, and just getting stuck in.

We love being active and outdoors, walking, scuba diving (we both have our scuba licenses), running, yoga, exploring, or just being out in nature. My (Caity) background is in child psychology and so I have lots of experience working with children and I’m naturally patient, organised and good with people. I’m used to adapting to different situations and keeping things calm and positive, and I’m always happy helping with cleaning, organising, and general day-to-day tasks. Ryan's background is in engineering and labouring. , so he’s very hands-on, practical and dependable. Between us, we’re confident with general labour, basic gardening, cleaning, and upkeep, and we’re quick to learn anything new.

We both love animals and feel very comfortable around them. We’re happy to help with feeding, cleaning, walking, and general care, and are keen to gain more hands-on experience. We’re also big foodies and really enjoy cooking and sharing meals, which we think is a nice part of the whole experience. We enjoy being helpful and creating a positive environment, but also like to keep things fun and relaxed.

I (Caity) am also coeliac, so I eat gluten-free, but I’m very used to managing that myself so no stress for hosts!

Mostly, we are just excited to meet new people, be part of a good environment, help out where we can, and have a really enjoyable experience along the way 🙂

We picked up a bit of Spanish while travelling around South America and even spent some time at a Spanish school, including a home say in Guatemala, which we really enjoyed. We’re definitely still beginners, but we’d love to keep learning and improving if the opportunity comes up!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We’re both reliable, easygoing and happy to get stuck into whatever’s needed.

- Engineering & Labouring: Ryan has experience with tools, equipment and construction/labouring based machinery, and practical DIY repairs.

- Outdoor Maintenance: Basic gardening and general upkeep.

- Childcare: Caity has a background in child psychology; patient, responsible, and great with all ages.

- Organisation: Skilled in deep cleaning, decluttering, and keeping a household running smoothly.

- High Energy: Both very fit and happy to take on physically demanding outdoor tasks in any weather.

- Animal Care (Our Favorite!) : Caity grew up with a "mini-zoo", everything from dogs, cats, and guinea pigs to lambs, chickens, and even a snake! We both miss our own pets back home, so we regularly use apps to look after others' animals when we need a "pet fix". A huge driver for our travels is our love for wildlife and the natural world. For instance, we headed into the Amazon Rainforest specifically to immerse ourselves in the ecosystem and see the wildlife in its natural habitat. We prioritise destinations that get us closer to nature, which is why we’re so keen to help out with outdoor projects or animal care. We feel very confident with feeding, walking, and mucking out.

After a lot of travelling, we’re adaptable, respectful and used to living and working in new environments and with new people. We’re tidy, low-maintenance and always aim to make things easier for our hosts.Overall, we’re hardworking, quick to learn, and keen to contribute wherever we can 🙂

We have both recently relocated to Australia and we are currently living in Sydney. We have both been working since the start of our visas and we are loving our time here but now want to start exploring different parts of the country and feel like workaday is a great way to do this!
