Hello!

I am at the start of a long period of travel and work through Latin America, going south from Mexico. I am in search of good, meaningful work opportunities, kind people, and the ability to continuously improve myself and open up to the world.

My prior career experience includes full-time public school teaching, musical instruction, recording, restaurant work, and wildland firefighting. I am an advanced Spanish speaker from my time living in Ecuador in 2018-19, as well as my two years of work as a teacher at an all-Latino school in Memphis, Tennessee.

I will work hard, learn, and be as useful as I can. All I ask in return is food, a place to stay, respect, and kindness. I am merely an outsider, and I wish to observe and learn from the people I work for an interact with as I travel.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

-Musician since age 11, experience in a variety of bands and ensembles, full-time K-8 music teacher of 2 years. Advanced guitarist and vocalist, relatively proficient in bass, piano, drums, and various stringed instruments; working knowledge of most common instruments.

-Highly experienced in childcare and youth mentorship from my years of teaching. I took great pride in developing supportive emotional relationships with my students and providing them with a safe environment in all regards.

-Strong physical condition. Comfortably passed all aspects of wildland firefighter fitness test. 6'4", 200lbs, willing to use my strength and endurance to be of service.

-Conversationally fluent in Spanish on top of my native English. I lived in Ecuador and the school I taught at in Memphis was predominantly Latino.

-Very strong and engaging public speaker. Former Memphis tour guide, as well as teaching and significant experience on stage as a performer.

-Very strong writing and math skills. Majored in philosophy, politics, and economics. Proficient in Excel and statistics.

-First Aid/CPR certified

-Strong desire to contribute and to learn. I consider my education to be a daily and lifelong process. I want to learn all the ins and outs of how everything functions wherever I am working so I can utilize that knowledge going forward in my own life.
