I am a student majoring in global environmental studies, looking to explore and learn as much as I can about our earth and how things grow throughout the world. Also an artist, yogi, and babysitter.

Description

I'm looking to learn about what grows inside of our Earth, but also the culture and beauty on its surface. Art and the natural environment have been the two essential and intertwined parts of my life, and I am so excited to explore them further. I am a student in NYC for writing and photography. From film photography to painting to dance to poetry, art what brings me the most joy. Out of a love and gratitude for the natural world, soil health and permaculture practices are something I am constantly learning about and digging deeper into. I look forward to exploring my interests further through travel, meeting new people and new species, and constantly creating.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have been a nature camp counselor for three years. Here, I have taught children how to identify indigenous wildlife, sketch ecological renderings, and primitive living skills such as carving and fire-making. I have worked at a variety of established restaurants where I learned out to cook and be in a fast paced environment. I have my own vegetable garden and have learned how to cultivate my own food from a young age. My father is a potter and I have been trained in throwing, handbuilding, and using a slab roll. I am studying a wide variety of environment-related knowledge, and am educated on sustainable practices and the physical, social, and economical affects the climate crisis. I also play guitar, write songs, play drums, make jewelry, photography & photoshop knowledge, paint, crochet, and explore my creativity in any way that I can.

I am very musical and enjoy singing, dancing, and exploring all different instruments. I also enjoy hiking, yoga, writing, meditating, camping, painting, skiing, reading, and tea. As I have grown up in the gentle mountains on the East Coast of the US, being fully immersed in nature is my favorite thing of all. I also love to connect with people and have interesting, meaningful conversations. I find I am most fulfilled when helping others out.
