Les activités qui m'intéressent :

I like to cook, listen to music, learn new languages, be out in nature and with animals.

Description

I love being out in nature and working with animals (especially sheep and horses). And since I moved to Vienna I appreciate the times I get to spend in the forest or with animals even more.
I guess what motivates me most is my genuine curiosity and a constant desire to learn and understand new things. Whether it’s languages, hands on skills or getting an understanding of a new culture or different way of living.
And the reasons above basically combine why I want to travel to Iceland. I would like to improve my Icelandic (I’m studying scandinavian literature and linguistics/ norræn fræði at the University of Vienna and chose Icelandic as my main language), learn about the icelandic culture and the way of living, work outside and with animals and learn new skills in that field. I would also love to get back into horseback riding (i’ve started when I was four years old, but wasn’t able to keep it up in the last few years).
I volunteer in a youth center and I work in a crisis center (A crisis intervention center offering immediate, 24/7 care and protection for young people who cannot stay in their current living situation due to emergency or traumatic circumstances) and also do summer camps and medieval themed projekt weeks for schoolchildren. I absolutely love my work and it also really shaped me as a person. I would now describe myself as a very calm person, open minded and excited to meet new people. It also made me able to stay focused and calm in stressfull situations and adapt fast to new working environments. And I’m also used to working long hours with little sleep and getting up early in the morning hahah.
So overall I would say I’m a calm, open minded person that’s always up for deep conversations, laughs, jokes and adventures, driven by a desire to help people and learn new things.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I don’t have much experience when it comes to working at a farm. But I’m a pretty quick learner and appreciate being able to learn new skills. I also don’t mind doing physically demanding work.
Through my work in the youth and crisis center and the summer camp and project weeks I have experience working with children.
I don’t have much experience with renovating or building things, but whenever I want to build something small or fix something in my flat, I think that it can’t be that complicated and there has to be a way to do this with the little experience I have, and so far that way of DIY’ing it has always worked out. So if you give me tools and show me what I have to do, I will probably be able to do it.
I also work out so I can carry fairly heavy stuff and also don’t mind doing it, I rather enjoy it hahahah.
