Hey :)
I’m Annika, a 20 years old girl from Germany. After graduating high school 2024, I spent last year working and travelling around New Zealand and enjoyed it immensely, now I‘m looking forward to new travel adventures on the Azores in the next few months!
I love nature, slow travelling, having adventures outdoors, connecting with people, art, music (I play the oboe and am learning the guitar:) and getting to know the world a little better everyday.
I am a joyful, motivated and physically fit person and a quick learning worker, happy to learn new skills and work together or independently on different tasks.
I already had some great volunteering experiences also on other platforms (like staying at an off grid sustainable community, farmwork, work at a hostel and on a boat…) So I’m quite adaptable and hands on. I feel like volunteering is a great way to get to know local life and I‘m looking forward to meeting more amazing people and helping at places where I can contribute to something meaningful! :)
I care a lot about environmental protection and animals, which is why I always love to learn more about and further explore sustainable life. This is also why I eat vegetarian (But I‘m a very uncomplicated eater :)
Being in nature and having adventures, whether in the woods, mountains, or at the sea shore, I feel the most happy. I care deeply about the people in my life and think making meaningful connections is one of the most beautiful and important parts of life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I graduated from high school ( Abitur) and worked and volunteered at several different places (for example sustainable farms, off grid community, hostel, boat, homestead…). I have experience in hospitality work, housekeeping, reception work, gardening, local forest cleanups & climate work, also I'm social, very keen for working outdoors, gardening, know some things and would love to learn more about permaculture and sustainability.
Regarding languages, I speak German and English fluently and also a little French.
Cooking as well as baking, especially together with some friends, is something I really enjoy. In general, I love doing creative things and am a very active person, happy to do physically demanding tasks as well. Of course I will always help where I can with daily chores! :)
Most importantly, I am joyful and motivated, always open and looking forward to learning new skills!!
