Description

We are travelling around Central America together, from Colombia, hopefully all the way to Guatemala. We both love being outdoors and especially love surfing. We're hoping to make some longer friendships while getting to know a place a bit better.

Anna: Born and raised in London, I moved to Cornwall by the sea six years ago. There I discovered my love for the sea, outdoors, swimming and trying to surf.
When I was 15, I visited Barcelona on a Spanish exchange to help improve my Spanish. Not only did I fall in love with the language but also the culture and way of life. 10 years later I'm now discovering the vibrant culture of Central America.
I'm graphic designer and do some freelance work on the go. My work is very flexible so I can fit in with other timings. I have worked for a 4* hotel in their marketing department as well as as a waitress. I also have experience working in hospitality from a student bar to on a superyacht. I can't wait to get stuck in and learn some more!

Jim: Born in Ireland, I moved to Italy aged 5 and spent most of my childhood there until moving to England aged 16. Liked Anna, I moved down to Cornwall for university, originally to study fine art but changed to music a year later. I still love playing the guitar.
I have a wide range of skills having worked many jobs throughout and after uni. Most recently I have worked as a tour manager, managing school and music trips across various European cities. Previously I have worked as a chef in cafes to fine dining restaurant. As well as an English teacher in Spain and a landscape gardener. I would be happy applying any mixture of these skills to a workaway and look forward to getting started!

We are both native English speakers. Jim is also fluent in Italian. Anna can speak a good level of Spanish and Jim understands most of what's going on. Anna has a TEFL qualification and Jim has experience as an English teacher in Spain.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I started babysitting at the age of 14 and looked after children from lots of different families.
I've worked various hospitality jobs, cafe, bar and hotel. But more recently I spent 2 months working on a superyacht. My job was to clean the boat several times a day and help out with cooking.

I grew up playing rugby, netball, dancing and love lots of other sports. I enjoy being outdoors and active.
As a graphic designer I'm also naturally a creative person, I enjoyed being creative.
