Description

Currently based in my car, I’m a 28-year-old Ukrainian with a passion for history, writing, sarcasm, horses, romantic fatalism, books, good food, tennis, and a bunch of other pretty random things:)

At 14, I realized that my provincial Ukrainian hometown was starting to feel tight, limiting what I thought was my potential, and that pushed me to move to Barcelona, where I graduated from an international school and began my slightly bizarre but exciting journey through adulthood.
Apart from Barcelona, in the last ten years, I’ve lived in Kyiv, Moscow, Boston, and Berlin, traveling and learning from a whole bunch of other places in between. Work-wise, in those same ten years, I’ve baked cupcakes, taught languages, founded a short-lived drama school in my hometown, worked in digital publishing and IT, created a longer-lived active horse stable—the first of its kind in Ukraine—done equine photography, and wrote a historical novel. There are likely more things I’m forgetting, but I’d be more than happy to remember them over a tea/wine session or ten :)

These days my "work" is hunting real-life movie moments, writing my second book, sentences that “click,” having conversations that do things to me (challenge, fulfill, teach, soothe, make me laugh or cry or both), catching and giving genuine feelings, reading books that won’t let go, listening to songs that burst with atmosphere, learning, witnessing and creating small kindnesses, being cringy sentimental, having purposes—small and big.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm generally a pretty hard worker as much as a fast and eager learner, so whatever I can't do I can pick up quickly. But these are the experiences I'm happy to share:

-I created and ran a first-of-its-kind active stable (paddock paradise) in Ukraine that promoted horses' natural psychological and physiological needs. Building the venue from scratch being broke, I did a lot of manual work myself, but I also organized and coordinated the workflow (hiring and managing the staff, horse food deliveries, minor and major construction, marketing, communication with clients, etc.).
As a nonprofit project, we also saved horses from slaughterhouses and cooperated with volunteers, organized lectures, events, riding classes, excursions for orphans and children with disabilities. I'd be happy to apply any from this versatile and odd mix of skills :) Horse-wise I'm not a fully confident rider, but I'm pretty savvy from the ground, handling-and natural horsemanship-wise. Plus, I did a lot of painting/ minor repairs/ cleaned paddocks, etc.

-I've worked in IT sales/business development/marketing, including green energy tech and publishing tech, so I can try to lend a hand if you need help with strategizing/marketing.

-I've taught languages (English and Spanish, though I don't think I can teach much in Spanish anymore) to adults and teenagers, but unfortunately I don't have much experience with kids.

-I'm a photographer--mainly of horses and their people. I don't have my professional camera with me, but I'm also pretty good at creating visual content with my phone.

-I'm a writer, mostly fictional, but I'm happy to do any promotional/copy writing or any sort of playing with words.

-I did a lot of gardening as a kid and teenager, and I still love working with the soil, so I'd love to help in the garden and, if possible, learn more.

-I'm a pretty tidy person and understand true cleanliness, and although it's not my favorite thing to do, I'm happy to help.

-I've owned dogs, I love them, and I'm good with them.

-I majored in English and minored in History, and, as a self-proclaimed literature and history nerd, I'm happy to share and even happier to exchange knowledge :)

-I love baking (I once had a little home cupcake bakery) and cooking (my dad runs two restaurants in my hometown, so I've learned some things).
