Description
Our Backpackers is built from local materials in 7 acres of coastal tropical forest. The land is owned by my family who have been here since 1956. It is 250 metres from the great Diani Beach access is through a beach bar owned by the family.
We have an abundance of wildlife on the property including the Colobus monkey and the endangered Elephant Shrew.
Our main clients are Volunteers and Independant travellers. Its is a really fun place and very easy going.

There is far too many benefits for a volunteer to describe here. Meeting and interacting with many different nationalities and cultures is one of them.
Aide
We have budget travelers staying from all over the world, the majority are well educated people between the ages of 20-50 years old. We need a volunteer that can interact with these guests and helping them as much as possible when the need arises. "Guest relations" is a good way to describe a Volunteer.

You will meet many fellow travellers and the locals. We have all the amenities on Diani Beach including super markets and a top quality hospital. Transport is easy and cheap to get around using Matatus (Taxi Buses)

I stayed one month and a half there. It has been a wonderful experience. I met incredible people, made friends with them. The staff is just amazing. And it's nice to meet everyday a lot of backpackers coming from all over the world.

Gillian was with us here on Diani Beach Kenya for three months. During that time she was immensely helpful and always went beyond of what was expected of her.
She is polite and great with the our guests. She would be welcomed back to volunteer if she wished.

This place is amazing. We were warmly welcomed and had a great time. The treehouses in the woods are beautiful and the atmosphere in the large common room welcoming and relaxed. It is just a 5 min walk to the beach where we went for a swim in the warm and calm water almoast daily.

This place is like a dream! Beautiful surroundings, adorable animals come up to play, and the staff are super helpful and lovely. As a solo traveller, I felt very welcomed and safe. Had a great time at this project. Andy is really laid back and easy going. He runs a very friendly place that brings people back. While I was there I hardly felt like I was working. Just closing up the bar and making sure that guests were able to get drinks after the permanent staff left for the day was about it.
