Hi! I love to travel, wonder about life, and learn the stories of both people and places. I feel fortunate to have the time to indulge these joys, and what better way to invest in life than to add value to the lives of others by serving folks along the way through Workaway. I believe that we share much more in common than seen at first glance, and if we take the time to share our stories, we come to understand that there is far more that brings us together than separates us. Having lived in Europe, Asia, and Africa, I am well travelled and understand the importance of respecting culture. I also love to cook, cycle, swim, ski, hike, read, and learn new skills. I am earnest in my curiosity, am a quick learner, and do my utmost to do well in whatever I take on. I know I would be an asset in whatever you need help accomplishing. I look forward to meeting you!

As I mentioned before, I am a quick learner and desire to always do a good job. I was the owner and general manager of an ice cream company for 19 years, and co-owner and manager of an aluminum factory for 6 years. I understand how to work well with others and create a cooperative working atmosphere that helps meet the goal. I know how to lead and I know how to take directions, and am comfortable in both roles. Being in the service industry for so long, I understand how important customer service is while also balancing the needs of the business. I am here to experience whatever life is offering, whether that is gardening, building, teaching, customer service, or assisting in other ways. I am teachable, and am looking forward to developing new skills, learning new languages, and making new friends!

I know that I am older than the average Workaway volunteer, but there are many advantages to being more experienced. I think that you will find me quite fit, young at heart, very friendly, flexible, and open to new experiences.
