Hi there!

My name is Amy, I am 18 years old and I'm from Belgium.

This school year (from fall 2026-2027), I'm taking a gap year to explore the world, meet new people and their cultures and do volunteer work!
I am open to everything, since I also want to use this year to break out of my comfort zone. ;) In other words: I am willing to try different types of volunteer work.
I would love to teach children, but I would also love taking care of animals, for example.
If there’s a way I can make a difference by doing something completely different, I’d be very happy and grateful for that, too! I love being able to help out wherever I can.

Besides that, I might be a little introverted, but I do love connecting with like-minded people ánd learning different views on the world from people with different opinions!
I personally feel like a big part of life's meaning lies in connecting with people, especially when the both of you view the world in a different way and you can pick up on aspects of their vision and learn from them!
I am always down for a philosophical and deep conversation about the world and life. ;)

I'm looking forward to exploring the world, learning and growing as a person and making lots of unforgettable memories!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience in babysitting and in the hospitality industry, from which I already learned a lot, such as continuing to perform well when it gets really busy.

I am a perfectionist. When I do something, I want to do it right, so I work very carefully and I do everything from the heart.
Maybe that's the best way to describe my way of working and my motivation! ;)

I'd love being a helping hand in any project that is driven by passion and love.

I am a very sensitive person and I have always been quite introverted, but deep down, I am very passionate about exploring the world and meeting new people, exchanging ideas, favorite songs, books, movies,...
Taking a gap year to travel the world and do volunteer work is something I always wanted to do.
Now that I can finally get started, I'm really excited and enthusiastic, because I don't know yet where I'll end up, but I'm very open-minded and willing to try anything! :)
I don't just take life (or whatever happens in life) for granted, so I'm very grateful for every opportunity I get!
