Hello my name is Amálie and i would like to travel abroad during the summer.
I would describe myself as open-minded, curious, and someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with others and learning through experience. At times, I struggle with stepping out of my comfort zone, and that is the main reason why I want to travel abroad by myself — to challenge myself and overcome some of my fears.

I'm still a student, considering studying law in the future, but right now I'm eager to explore the world a bit and challenge myself. I believe in the importance of good relationships between people, communication, and in finding creative solutions — whether it’s about starting a group project focusing on the renovation of an old building in our hometown and turning it into a community center, or the task of fixing a stuck zipper on a jacket.
I’m passionate about photography, and it’s one of my favorite ways to express myself creatively. I also enjoy problem-solving, spending time with my close friends or family, and anything that involves learning by doing. I’ve lived part-time in a boarding school, which taught me independence and teamwork, as well as practical skills such as basic gardening, handling my finances, and taking care of the chickens we had in our garden..
Although I’m new to Workaway, I’m very excited about whatever is waiting for me here and I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I may not yet have chosen a specific specialization, but I bring a variety of practical skills and personal qualities that can be helpful in many different settings.
I'm good at solving problems in creative ways—whether it's figuring out how to repair things around the house, organizing a messy space, or coming up with fun ways to get a task done more efficiently. I consider myself someone who thinks outside the box and is very open-minded. I don’t panic easily and can keep a clear head under pressure. I’ve helped organize school events and community activities, where I learned how to manage time, work in teams, and take on both leadership and support roles as needed.
I’ve always been passionate about photography. Even though I’m self-taught, I’ve had the opportunity to take pictures at various events in my hometown.
During middle school, I attended a part-time boarding school (I wasn’t away from my family for the whole week), where I learned a lot about teamwork and how to cooperate—even with people who aren’t always easy to work with. I also discovered that I’m comfortable taking the lead in a group, just as much as I can step back and let someone else do the job.
Now, during high school, the focus shifted a bit more toward what I can do as an individual. What I’ve found is that I’m organized, and when I’m passionate about something—whether it's writing a seminar paper or fixing up a secondhand pair of pants—I can spend long periods of time focused on that one thing, undisturbed.
I’m excited to learn new things, meet people from different cultures, and contribute however I can. I may be young, but I’m eager, hardworking, empathetic and willing to put in the effort to grow and help others.
