Description
Greetings from our small family! We're Alexander, Julia, and our 5-year-old, Hannah. Currently, we're embracing a unique chapter in our lives as we have taken a break from our demanding jobs to spend time together as a familiy and travel the world. With a background in software development and engineering, Alexander has embraced the digital nomad lifestyle, dedicating around 20 hours each week to working remotely. Meanwhile, I've taken a temporary break from my job in field of internationalization until the upcoming summer.

In addition to dedicating additional time to our young daughter, we aspire to employ our free moments for personal growth and advancement. We're considering the idea of establishing ourselves in France down the line and have a keen interest in discovering various French regions.

We're excited about the potential to engage in diverse experiences through this platform, whether it's on farms or other settings across France. Our aim is to connect with like-minded-people, immerse ourselves in different cultures, and gain knowledge on a wide range of subjects, such as sustainable initiatives, permaculture practices, helping with the restorations of charming french houses and gardens, animal care, the French language and cultural insights, and even spirituality.

We have practical knowledge in gardening and growing our own vegetables. DIY projects around the house and garden also interest us. Alexander loves to restore the shine to broken or old things and has a knack for woodworking. He's also a music enthusiast and can help with IT problems. As for me, I appreciate DIY tasks, arts-and-crafts projects and possess some insights into herbs and medicinal plants. I'm eager to deepen my understanding in this area. Sharing German language skills is also something we can offer.

We had a wonderful time at Odilon's farm, where we stayed for a few weeks in the fall. Despite the rainy weather, we enjoyed working on various projects with him and learning new skills.

We had incredible 4 weeks with Régine, Sebastian, Léa and the two kids helping with the construction of outdoor showers as well as maintenance activities around their wonderful house.
We were accommodated in a spacious room in the main house which was perfect. We really appreciated the cosy and comfortable atmosphere in the house, especially the… read more meaningful conversations we had together. They are great people leading an interesting and sustainable life and it’s wonderful speaking and working with them. We felt really at home and were welcomed as part of the family.
The tasks we had to complete were varied and interesting - we gained a lot of new experiences. We were also very happy that we could benefit from a soundhealing session as well as a game painting experience with Régine. She is an amazing woman with a rich life experience and full of positive energy. We learned a lot from her.
Our daughter enjoyed being together with the kids. They are just lovely, full of energy and curiosity. Léa is a great mum, loving and very patient. We were always on the same level when it came to looking after the children.
During our free time, we were able to explore the wonderful region around Mercoeur and Argentat. Régine gave us a lot of recommendations and introduced us to some nice and very interesting locals.
Also, Régine and Léa are amazing cooks, we enjoyed every single meal and will continue our journey with many new culinary inspirations of the vegetarian kitchen and very nice memories.
Thanks for everything! We hope to see you again next year in Corrèze.

Nous avons passé 4 semaines incroyables avec Régine, Sebastian, Léa et les deux enfants à aider à la construction de douches extérieures ainsi qu'aux activités d'entretien de leur merveilleuse maison.
Nous avons été logés dans une chambre spacieuse de la maison principale, ce qui était parfait. Nous avons vraiment apprécié l'atmosphère chaleureuse et confortable de la maison, en particulier les conversations intéressantes que nous avons eues ensemble. Ce sont des gens formidables qui mènent une vie intéressante et durable, et c'est merveilleux de parler et de travailler avec eux. Nous nous sommes vraiment sentis chez nous et avons été accueillis comme des membres de la famille.
Les tâches que nous devions accomplir étaient variées et intéressantes - nous avons acquis beaucoup de nouvelles expériences. Nous avons également été très heureux de pouvoir bénéficier d'une séance de guérison par le son et d'une expérience de peinture par le jeu avec Régine. C'est une femme étonnante avec une riche expérience de vie et pleine d'énergie positive. Nous avons beaucoup appris d'elle.
Notre fille a apprécié d'être avec les enfants. Ils sont tout simplement adorables, pleins d'énergie et de curiosité. Léa est une maman formidable, aimante et très patiente. Nous avons toujours été au même niveau lorsqu'il s'agissait de s'occuper des enfants.
Pendant notre temps libre, nous avons pu explorer la magnifique région autour de Mercoeur et Argentat. Régine nous a donné de nombreuses recommandations et nous a présenté des habitants sympathiques et très intéressants.
De plus, Régine et Léa sont des cuisinières extraordinaires, nous avons apprécié chaque repas et nous continuerons notre voyage avec de nombreuses nouvelles inspirations culinaires de la cuisine végétarienne et de très beaux souvenirs.
Merci pour tout ! Nous espérons vous revoir l'année prochaine en Corrèze.
