Description
Hi, we are Nico and Alex, 22 year old twins from Denmark.
We're both happily studying at university and living in international dorms in Copenhagen, but we're longing for a bit of outside, hands-on, nature-work.
During our gap years, we have both participated in several volunteering projects. Together we volunteered on a farm and some community projects in Southeast Asia. Nico recently also volunteered for a month on an alpaca farm in Norway. Alex previously volunteered with an emergency aid organization in Ukraine and two permaculture farms in Italy.
Though we are raised in suburbia and currently live in a capital city, these volunteering experiences have given us rudimentary skills of farmwork. Neither of us are expert carpenters, animal handlers or farmers, but we are quick learners and like to get our hands dirty.
With this said, we have quite a bit of personal experience with the general concept of volunteering and with the role of being guests in the homes of different hosts.

We both speak a little bit of Spanish and German, and would like to improve both, especially German :) In return, we're fluent in English and Danish, and are happy to share our skills.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I’m always curious and outgoing to everyone I meet, which means I am pretty much always able to get along very well with others! When I was younger I travelled to the US for a year on high school exchange, and have just finished an economics oriented high school in Denmark. I have also had a part time job on the side since I was 13 years old. I have always travelled a lot with my family, and I have also had several solo-traveling experiences. More recently I have have gotten more practical, social and travel experience by volunteering in an NGO in Ukraine, and at a permaculture farm in Italy.

The most interesting thing for me is meeting and being influenced by other people. I find it very valuable whenever I can discuss something with someone different from myself.
More specifically, I really enjoy cooking and I always love learning about local food culture. I would really enjoy gaining some new cooking knowledge and experience, and perhaps even pass on some of the food from my own country!
