looking for a medium-term (around one month) volunteering opportunities from December 2023 to March 2024:)

Hello everyone!
I am Alessia, I am originally Italian but I have been living in England for the past 8 years. my background is in Work Paychology, but I currently work in the Department for Health in London and looking to move in the Behavioural Change space. Recently I decided to leave my job and travel around South America for at least six months (no return ticket!!) . I am an incredibly curious, friendly and active and I am looking for a volunteering experience in South America (Colombia and Costa Rica mainly, but who knows where destiny will take me!). I am passionate about improving the life of vulnerable people through connection, art and music. I particularly value the importance of exchanges (of any kind!), so I am looking for a volunteer experience that will allow me to connect to people and develop true friendships. I am an experienced meditator with an interest in sustainable life. I am looking for a real compassionate, open-minded environment where to volunteer for around a month.
In terms of what I can give: I am very hard-working, extrovert, warm and organised. I have experience with young people in different roles (I have been a Rep accompanying kids to ski trips, worked in organised holidays and in other areas of hospitality and tourism).
I also have experience in social research, Behavioural Science and coaching/conselling (although I currently don't hold a qualification), so would be keen to help in any of those areas, particularly if it's with vulnerable people.

I could also work in an eco-hostel (reception, general maintaneince, tours, social media) help with language exchange (teaching English/Italian) and/or coaching (I have a master in Work psychology). I am really into salsa so a place with salsa lessons will be a plus :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have plenty of experience in different sectors of charity work, but I'm most passionate about cultural and language exchange. I have worked in the hospitality sector doing admin, waitressing and bar tending and managing social media presence. In the past, I have worked with Red Cross supporting immigrants, as a travel rep for young kids. I have previously lived in eco-villages and worked to help permaculture projects, and I am very much open to learn!

I am passionate about meditation, sports, salsa dancing and connecting with people! I am an experienced traveller and, although new to Work Away, I have usually been using coach surfing both to host and be hosted, and completely loved it!
