Description

We are two very good friends, having to known each other from when we were 7. After individual experience in voluntary work, we would now like to discover it together!
Our happy evening would look like this: beautiful people around me, walk in a bog or a swamp, hot lentil stew cooked on fire and a good night sleep in a cozy tent. We love being outside and as coming from Estonia,we would say we have a strong connection to the Earth.
In addition, we love sharing food and going to sauna.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I, Agnes, hold a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, which means I feel comfortable working in garden and outdoors. I have basic plant knowledge and real, everyday experience with gardening, as my family owns a country house where I grew up helping with vegetables, berries, fruit trees, and general maintenance. I am used to physical work and not afraid of getting dirty. I can handle basic garden and household tools and enjoy learning new skills. My experience also includes wood chopping, digging trenches, cleaning forest areas, and even tree climbing to collect pinecones during a previous Workaway stay.

Alongside physical work, I can also support creative and communication related tasks. I have experience in photography, video making, and social media, and last summer I photographed a seaside Airbnb in Estonia, focusing on atmosphere, nature, and the surrounding landscape. I also enjoy cooking and would describe myself as a creative cook. I mostly eat vegetarian and occasionally fish. I speak Estonian and English fluently, have some knowledge of German, and basic skills in French and Russian.

Irma is currently a full-time Master’s student at the University of Tartu, studying Geography with a specialisation in Geoinformatics. She gains energy from being outdoors and physically active, making manual labour a natural fit for her. Like me, she grew up with a family country cottage and is familiar with maintaining a rural home and using simple handheld tools. She also has valuable volunteering experience through the European Solidarity Corps, where she took part in hands-on work restoring an old fort, combining physical labour with conservation and teamwork. Around the house, she enjoys practical DIY projects such as fixing furniture, building a firewood crate, making soap, unclogging drains, and putting up wallpaper, and she approaches new tasks with confidence and curiosity.

We both value eco-conscious living in terms of food, materials, and everyday choices, and we try to carry this mindset into our daily lives. We are eager to learn from your way of working and living, while contributing our skills, reliability, and practical attitude. We hope to bring not only helping hands, but also care, curiosity, and a grounded work ethic shaped by growing up close to nature in Estonia.

We are not a couple, but two very good friends! :)

Right now I (Agnes) am studying social design in Vienna, which is an arts programme focusing on designing not just places or spaces, but really focusing on why, for who and how the designed interventions act. So I am definitely a creative person!
I love all kinds of crafty projects and have sewn myself multiple pieces (bags, shirts, skirt).

Lately I am very interested in community saunas and also go to one in my hometown. I have discovered the most lovely and heart-warming people there, where we all sing and play music inside the sauna - a very special evening, almost a ritual! So I could say that "i love sauna"!

Irma studies Geography and values how broad and interdisciplinary the field is, as it allows her to understand places, landscapes, and people from different perspectives. She loves travelling and learning about different cultures through hands-on experiences.
