  Description

  We are family of 5 with 2 adult kids (living aways and visiting on holidays) and a high school kid at home. I work from home doing bookkeeping and maintain our small acreage that has chickens and a friendly golden retriever named Jasper. My husband is a busy healthcare worker that works long hours.
  
  We are a bilingual household French and English. We love to eat well and prepare all our meals at home and love to try different cultural dishes.
  We live just on the western outskirts of the city of Calgary and have a property that has a beautiful view of the Canadian Rockies.
  
  We enjoy the outdoors such as hiking, camping, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, skiing and try to go to the mountains when time allows.

  We are bilingual household where we speak fluent French and English
  We love outdoor activities such as hiking on the weekends and holidays.
  We are Christian Seventh Day Adventist and we are involved in our church community most Saturdays. We will not impose on you our believes but you are more than welcome to ask questions and attend events whenever we are involved.
  We love to preserve/can food in August and September, you learn and/or assist with that process of food preservation.
  We love to bake with our sourdough always learning something new!
  We love to experiment with food from different ethnicities.
  We hope to make connections with new people and share our home and learn and grow from hosting.
  We also want to improve our small acreage and make it better for our community and our family.

  Aide

  We are looking for some help with repainting part of our basement (September -March), yard work (May-October), hardscape (May-October), landscape (April-June), tending to our chickens (year around), gardening, weeding, building a shed (April-November), possibly preparing a meal or 2 every week (more for September-May), and light house cleaning.

  Hébergement

  We have a comfortable basement living space that include your own bedroom, bathroom and a small area with a sink and mini refrigerator. There is a shared lounging/entertainment area. We provide you lodging and meals during the week. And we also let you have full access to our laundry and kitchen when off duty.

  We are 10 minutes away from the city limits of Calgary where is public transport. one of us drives to the city daily for services or supplies. There you can also have access to transport to the Canadian Rockies by bus.
  No smoking or drug use on/in our property.
  We do not work from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening so you can have Friday and Saturday off or Saturday and another day or two of your choice off.
