Hi, Im Avghi a 61 years old woman living in a quiet highland valley in Tasmania, Australia. I was for many years occupied with family life, building my house and establishing the basis for subsistence agriculture. My work and life on the land is ongoing, but for the past six years I have also been practising as a nurse, which has allowed me the luxury of travel.
I've been reconnecting with Greece these past few years and seek the opportunity to enjoy local life as a non tourist and I consider working and contributing as a part of that experience. I can turn my hand to any sort of work and am happy to work both cooperatively and independently.
I have many interests, one of which is learning to speak Greek. I am looking to immerse myself in the language and speak Greek as much as possible while doing workaway.
I swim and get into nature wherever I can. Also like to read and take a serious interest in the social and environmental
life of the planet.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have lived and worked on my own land for 30 plus years. Our place is off the electricity grid on the edge of the forest so I am accostomed to foraging and gathering in a sustainable way, respectful and appreciative of the abundance of nature. I am familiar with using and caring for tools, both building and agricultural. I have experience with vegetable gardens and orchards and have kept and milked cows and goats for the family. I also worked many years on commercial orchards doing all seasonal tasks from propagation to harvest. During this time I raised my family of four and was deeply involved with household life. More recently, as my family have grown up, I returned to study and now work as a Registered nurse as well as continuing to work on my land.
