Hello, my name is Abbey and for me the best part of travelling is being able to experience new methods of life and the vibrant culture each country has to offer. Being able to learn so many new things from even a brief conversation is so fulfilling. I love animals, fitness, art/music and the ocean. I grew up on small farms and towns in New Zealand with only 1-2 trips out of the country growing up which has only fuelled me to see the world more! I’ve always had many house pets and various livestock, but my interest was specifically in horses and I rode competitively for 5 years. I’m a tidy and hardworking volunteer and I am so grateful for organizations like this!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Due to living on farms, I have various experiences that come with usual farm maintenance. Fencing, gardening, harvesting, hay making, animal care +
I have an employment history in hospitality and customer service, working in cafe's, restaurants and hotels. I have worked in almost all areas most experienced in bartending, staff leading, kitchen work and reception.
Helping people brings fulfillment into my life and I also work as an in-house carer for those who have suffered injuries and can't do their usual day to day tasks, so I come in and do an hour or two of house keeping and assist with showering or meal prep. I love the ocean and I am also qualified to scuba dive up to 18m.
