¡Hola!

I am David, an easy-going and enthusiastic workawayer greeting you from Katowice (Poland).

After living my whole life in Barcelona, five years ago I decided that I needed a change, so I embarked in a new journey that goes on until today. In the summer of 2020, I landed in a farm in the south of Kraków, where I learnt a lot about life in the countryside; I also enjoyed Polish gastronomy and culture, so after this wonderful experience I moved to Katowice, the capital of Silesia.

Nowadays, I can proudly say I am fully settled in this beautiful country. When I am not working in my corporate job, I enjoy walking or jogging in Park Śląski (one of the largest parks in Poland, it even has a planetarium) or attending any of the several language exchange events that take place in the town.

To break the routine a little, this autumn I plan to explore somewhere nearby and do some work at the same time. I am handy with household and DYI tasks, also enjoy cooking Mediterranean dishes, and I am always open to enlarge my skillset, be these in the garden, with animals, or in any other field.

What I value the most in these experiences is the cultural exchange, teamwork, and the chance to contribute with my energy and enthusiasm while learning from others, so here I am, ready to meet new people, discover some places and build unforgettable memories together!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- I speak several languages, with more or less fluency

- I like birds a lot, specially domestic ones. During my childhood and adolescence I raised doves, chicken, budgies, and some canaries

- Among my strengths there is also communication and organisation: I like to work in teams, but if necessary I am also self-reliant

- Many years working as a leisure instructor with kids of all ages

- I have a driving license, although I don't own a car

- DIY normal skills, and willing to learn more of them.

- I can help with computer work with programs like SAP, Microsoft Office, Salesforce... Also, I can design a simple website using Wordpress
