Hi! I'm Yohann, a software engineer from France. I'm taking some time to travel around South America with no fixed itinerary because I want to discover different cultures, meet local people, and experience everyday life in each country. I love spending time outdoors. Hiking, sports, nature, photography, and animals are some of my biggest interests. I'm also curious by nature and enjoy learning new skills, especially practical ones. I like gardening, DIY projects, construction, and any hands-on work where I can help and learn at the same time. For me, Workaway is much more than accommodation. It's a way to meet people, share experiences, improve my English and Spanish, and discover places from a local perspective. I'm easy-going, reliable, and always happy to help wherever I'm needed.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm a curious, reliable and hands-on person who enjoys practical work and outdoor activities. Although I currently work in IT, I feel more connected to manual work and I'm looking for experiences that allow me to learn new skills and reconnect with a simpler lifestyle.

I've helped in a horse stable, forest maintenance, gardening, home renovation and small electronics/IoT projects. I love animals, nature, and I'm always happy to help and learn, even when I'm not an expert.

I'm also an amateur photographer and enjoy capturing landscapes and everyday moments.

French is my native language, I speak conversational English, and I'm currently learning Spanish with the goal of becoming fluent during my journey through Latin America.

I'm open-minded, adaptable, and excited to meet new people and contribute wherever I can.

I enjoy a wide variety of activities and I like discovering new things. I love board games, card games and strategy games, but I also enjoy more skill-based activities such as bowling, pétanque, or anything that involves precision and a bit of challenge.

I also really enjoy outdoor activities, exploring nature, having conversations, sharing a meal or simply relaxing with people. For me, the most important thing is sharing good moments and experiences with others.

I like variety and I would rather try different activities than do the same thing all the time. I am always curious to discover new hobbies and learn from the people I meet.
