Hello! We are Marlee and Will, a couple from Australia, spending 6 months travelling Central and South America. We are both frequent travellers and lovers of adventure and the outdoors, looking to explore locations new to us. Both of us are looking forward to new cultural experiences, sharing stories with new friends and learning new skills and hobbies! We consider ourselves friendly, respectful and active people that enjoy any work that requires us to be outdoors and on our feet. In our spare time we hope to get to know the local life in the areas we stay, improve our spanish skills and spend lots of time out in nature :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Marlee and I are both very well versed in social interactions and working in an environment that is fast paced. Marlee has experience working in hostels and ski resorts in multiple countries, dealing with travellers and holidaygoers from all over the world on a first hand basis. At home in Australia, she is currently a disability support worker and practice manager at a medical practice, offering meal prep, cleaning and personal care for support work, and management of a team in a medical practice. During her time managing two medical practices she has also learnt web design, social media management and advertising. Will worked in the wine industry for 7 years, undertaking roles that range from warehousing, wine making, selling and tasting wine and managing the supply chain/logistics of the company. Will has completed a bachelor of Business degree, with specific emphasis on international negotiations and communications. More recently, he has been providing disability support work to two high needs clients, working alongside other support workers and clients families to provide care, as well as cooking, general household chores and social activities. We are able to cover a variety of skills, but are always open to learning new skills on the job.

We love the idea of doing any hands on work, considering ourselves to be relatively handy people. We both love music, gardening, communal board games and any opportunity for a new experience. Marlee is a keen snowboarder and scuba diver and looks forwards to learning some new sports in her travel. Will is passionate about meeting new people and experiencing new adventures. Socialising is key in Will’s life and building connections with people is an important part of workaway. We also both love to cook and look forward to trying and exchanging meals.
