Description

Hi! My name is Wiktoria 😊

I’m an active, open-minded and easygoing person who loves travelling, nature, sports and meeting new people. I studied sports coaching and teaching.

Over the past year, I’ve had some really different and memorable Workaway experiences. I spent 3 weeks pet-sitting in Venice, taking care of two cats and a turtle. I completely fell in love with them and still miss them !🐈🐢 But what I loved most was discovering Venice from a completely different side, quiet little streets with no tourists, hidden places you rarely hear about.

Then I spent 2 months in Sicily helping with the olive harvest, and later returned for another 3 months to continue working with olives, but in a different part of the process. I got to see the the whole production from preparing for the harvest, through picking and processing the olives, all the way to filling and bottling the finished olive oil. I really enjoyed learning how much work and care goes into something that seems so simple when you see the final bottle.

After that, I spent 3 months working in a hotel on Salina, Sicily, as a driver and helping with guest services and everyday hotel tasks. I enjoyed the variety of the work, meeting guests from different places and being part of the everyday life of a small island hotel.

Most recently, I spent 3 weeks sailing with a family. Something that had been a dream of mine for a long time. I got to experience what everyday life on a boat is really like, including how much there is to organise and take care of and how unpredictable and unforgiving the sea and weather can be. It was beautiful, challenging and definitely an experience I’ll never forget. 🌊

I also have a background in landscaping, so working with nature has always felt very natural to me. I genuinely love being outdoors, working with plants and animals, spending time in gardens and other outdoor spaces. I enjoy practical work, DIY, learning new skills and getting my hands dirty.

I’ve spent a lot of time by the sea and still absolutely love it 🌊, but I’ve always loved the mountains too, so now I’m excited to change the scenery and spend more time there ⛰️

At the moment I’m especially interested in hostels, campsites, guesthouses, mountain lodges and other outdoor projects. I’d also love to meet people involved in sports and outdoor activities such as swimming, diving, cycling, climbing or hiking.

I’m calm and quiet at first, but once I feel comfortable, I’m energetic, hardworking and always happy to help. I’m not looking for a typical tourist experience, I’d rather become part of the place, help out, learn something new and meet good people 😊

I’m open to all kinds of projects and always happy to try something new!

Polish is my native language. Thanks to Workaway and traveling, I have significantly improved my English by using it every day with people from all over the world. I am currently also learning Italian, and I really enjoy it. I am still at a beginner level but I like practicing it whenever I can and I would like to improve it by talking with local people and using it in everyday situations.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience in gardening. I really enjoy working with plants and feel comfortable taking care of them. Spending time in nature and tending to plants gives me a lot of joy and satisfaction 🌱

I also enjoy DIY projects and working with my hands. I can fix simple things, create wooden items, and like experimenting with small construction or repair tasks. I’m eager to learn more and improve my skills in this area 🔨🔩

What’s important is that I also love motor vehicles. I really enjoy driving. I can drive a car, some motorcycles, scooters, medium-size vans, basically anything with wheels. It gives me a lot of joy and makes me feel free, a bit like swimming. I drive confidently but carefully. I treat every vehicle as if it were my own. Even the narrow streets of Sicily are not scary for me

I have completed various courses and hold a motorboat license. I would love to refresh my skills or learn sailing. I’m also keen to try surfing and explore every water sport possible 🏄‍♀️🏊‍♀️

I absolutely love spending time with animals of all kinds. Dogs, cats, turtles, horses, cows, chickens, it doesn’t matter. I enjoy their company, taking care of them, and building bonds with them 🐢🐤🐇

I’m open-minded, eager to learn new things, and enjoy practical, hands-on experiences. I love being outdoors, connecting with nature, and helping out wherever I can.

I’m a calm and grounded person who really appreciates peace, quiet moments and being close to nature, but what I value the most is good company and sharing everyday life with others. I enjoy meaningful connections, simple conversations and a warm, friendly atmosphere.

I also love music and good books, especially those little things that make everyday life feel softer and more enjoyable while travelling and working in new places.
