Hola!
My name is Wendy, 25 years and from the Netherlands. I'm currently living in Barcelona and I work as a full-time nanny after graduating for my Masters in Nutrition and Health Science.
Even tho I love my life here, adventure is calling and I would like to travel to Latin America somewhere in 2024, with Costa Rica highest on my list of places I would like to stay for a while and experience the Pura Vida lifestyle. I love nature and the beach, and I would love to explore and learn more about one of the following things: working in a hostel, surfing, permaculture, animal care, eco-projects, yoga and spiritual healing.

I'm an enthusiastic, calm and responsible person who loves to learn new skills and have a cultural exchange.
I love kids and have quite some experience with kids, as a nanny for all ages (6-months up to 12 years) and as a sailing instructor. I also very much like the beach and dogs and cats!
I'm fluent in English and Dutch and I have an intermediate level of Spanish.
In my free time I love dancing (salsa, bachata and kizomba), meeting new people, sailing, learning new things, travelling and also just chilling with a good cup of tea or wine.

I am very interested in improving my Spanish skills. I do speak/understand quite some Spanish already. In exchange I speak fluently English, so i can teach some English (or Dutch!).

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

In general I am a very caring person that can take care of others who need it.
I like teaching, i am a sailing instructor for both kids and adults for 8 years now. Also i worked as a tutor and teaching assistent at high school and university. I also have experience with babysitting (age 5-10) for quite some years.
I can help prepare foods and make nice, nutritious and vegetarian meals.
Also i don't mind helping around the house, cleaning, doing laundry and organizing things.

I am a very open minded person, and willing to think along to make my stay as pleasant for both sides.
My perfect stay would include helping with anything that is needed, have a language exchange and also some time to explore the city or take a rest from all the impressions.
I might also want to do some interviews for my internships later, it would be very helpful if the host could give me some tips/connections about this.
If you think we are a match, or if you have questions, please contact me. I could stay around 3 or 4 weeks end of July/August.
