Hello I am Veronica,
I am a friendly, enthusiastic, positive person who is interested in exploring areas of Australia away from the obvious tourist destinations and also have the chance to participate in familiar day to day activities albeit in a different culture and continent.

At home in London I am a busy, fit and active retiree with a passion for gardening, growing my own food and tending to my allotment. I am a very practical person who enjoys learning and experiencing new challenges. I am surrounded by family, friends and social networks who all contribute to a fulfilling life. Away from London I spend time helping friends on their farm in Northumberland and I also help with an olive farm when I am in Italy visiting family.

The skills I could offer are
-All aspects of gardening including weeding, pruning, clearing up and composting.
-All aspects of the growing of fruit and vegetables including preserving and food fermentation.
- Cooking including sourdough bread baking (always trying to improve!)
-I have considerable experience of all aspects of painting and decorating
-Sewing and general needlework
- I am an experienced Upholsterer
-A willingness and flexibility to get stuck in

January, February and early March are my quiet months and I would like to visit Australia at this time. I was delighted to discover Workaway as it offers a unique opportunity whilst visiting the country. At this stage I am very flexible in terms of dates and activities. It seems a great idea to have a Zoom/Skype chat to explore further as I am new to Workaway.
