I’m passionate about design and craftsmanship since my whole live. Creating things excites me! I also love nature - Being outside, surrounded by plants and animals, is something I always enjoy.

Description

Hi, I'm Vanessa.
I just completed my Master's in Product and Furniture Design, and after many intensive years of study, I want to embark on a little adventure.
Living in a shared apartment with six other girls from all over the world has made me realize how many more cultures and places I want to discover. I love traveling and meeting new people. The more directly I can participate in the lives of others, the more exciting and wonderful the journey becomes.
I am a very sociable person, enjoying the company of both young and old, and I love exchanging ideas on all sorts of topics. You can have deep conversations with me, but I also love to laugh. Growing up in the countryside, surrounded by many animals and even more nature, has influenced me to this day. I prefer a jungle hike over a city trip any day.
In general, I am very connected to nature and much prefer being outdoors to being indoors. I have a passion for everything related to creativity and craftsmanship. Ever since I can remember, I have loved painting and creating things. The messier I get in the process, the better.

I would love to make some great memories with as many people from around the world as possible. Through this platform, I hope to do so and can’t wait for it.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As long as I can remember, I’ve always been involved in creative activities. Even as a child, I loved crafting and painting.
At 15, I decided to fully embrace this passion and switched to an art school, which was a mind-blowing experience for me. During the five years I spent there, I explored a variety of materials and techniques through workshops in woodworking, metalworking, and textiles. We learned skills like screen printing and photography, attended inspiring art classes, and mastered various design programs.
Driven by my passion for working with my hands and my preference for getting messy rather than sitting at a desk, I decided to pursue a master’s degree in Product and Furniture Design, which I will complete in August 2024 in London. This program offered an incredible range of workshops where I had the opportunity to work on my projects and develop a love for ceramics.

My sister shares my passion for creativity. She spent five years at Fashion School, where she honed her skills and can now create any dress you can imagine. She is currently studying Interior Design and is set to graduate in September. Her talent for arranging rooms and her keen eye for color combinations and material choices are truly remarkable.

But enough about our creative pursuits. Beyond our artistic endeavors, we both love being around people and are active in many clubs and youth groups. I enjoy dancing, playing the ukulele, and am a big fan of board games, while my sister adores cooking and baking and is always learning new recipes.

Growing up in the countryside has also instilled in us a deep love for nature.
Our mom taught us how to plant vegetables before we even went to school, and helping in our family garden is a cherished mental break from our hectic everyday lives.

To sum it up: We’re enthusiastic, cheerful people who love to have fun and laugh—a lot!
