Heyy :) I'm Uma
I am currently letting the wind blow me around the planet, in search of beautiful places and people to connect, learn and grow with. I am a very curious person and want to learn as much as I can about different ways of living, and I'll very happily get my hands dirty and try new things!
I'm most in my element when living in close contact with nature and being in places where I can take off my shoes and let my feet touch the earth. I thrive when I'm surrounded by humans who I can share, create and connect with! Being able to have meaningful interactions and conversations is very important to me :)

I grew up very connected to art (drawing, painting, writing) and I am really enjoying experiencing art through many different creative and explorative forms, e.g. with cooking or dancing, so I love being around people who share this interests, or in spaces where this is possible!
I am very interested in working and living in harmony with nature, gaining understanding of plants (I would really love to learn more about growing food, herbalism, foraging and ethnobotany).

I am also very interested in low-impact living and how to make this possible in a practical sense - I spent 3 years working completely off-grid in and outdoor preschool in England, and very much enjoyed the challenges and learning opportunities that came with having minimal comforts and being at the mercy of nature!

I love to approach life and work with curiosity, enthusiasm and excitement. I see it all as a journey of exploration, play and endless learning, and I am very eager to be involved and hands-on whenever there is an opportunity to do so!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I love to cook healthy plant-based food and have some experience in creating meals for groups of people.
I have experience in permaculture, with planting, weeding and harvesting, and the garden to kitchen connection.
In terms of practical skills, I have various experiences using garden tools and carpentry tools, painting walls, transporting heavy materials, assisting in building fences, digging, and garden/house maintenance.

I have 3 years' experience working with children outdoors through all seasons in England. I am practised in using nonviolent communication with children, which is something I feel passionate about.
I also did some work in an outdoor art school, based on forest school principles and centred around nonviolent communication and student-led learning and play.
I trained as a doula a few years ago and holistic support is something I am keen to continue developing skills in.
