Description

Hi, my name is Umberto, I am 29 years old and I come from Naples, Italy. This time I am applying independently without my brother.

Throughout my life, I have always been passionate about learning through direct experience. I believe that every adventure is an opportunity to grow, develop new skills, and become a better person.

I have a B2 level of English, which I obtained while studying in Bath, England, and I further improved it while living and working in the UK. Over the years, I have lived independently in different places, including Brighton, Rome, and the small mountain village of Itri in central Italy. These experiences helped me become adaptable, responsible, and open-minded.

I am qualified as a support teacher and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology. I have worked with children and teenagers in different contexts, including as a support teacher in one of the most challenging neighborhoods of Naples. I also volunteered in Nepal, where I helped teach English at local schools. These experiences taught me patience, empathy, communication skills, and the ability to connect with people from different backgrounds.

I also have practical experience working in nature and demanding environments. I spent time on two alpine farms in Valle d’Aosta, at 2,500 meters above sea level, where I worked with goats and cows, took animals to pasture, milked them, cut and stored hay, fed chickens, cleaned stables, and helped prepare meals for guests. I enjoy physical work and being outdoors, and I am not afraid of hard work or simple living conditions.

In addition, I have worked as a waiter, delivery worker, Telethon fundraiser, children’s entertainer, and accountant. These different roles helped me develop flexibility, creativity, problem-solving skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to work with many different types of people.

I also have experience as a theatre actor. Performing on stage taught me how to communicate effectively, work as part of a team, express myself confidently, and adapt quickly to unexpected situations. It also helped me develop creativity, emotional awareness, and strong interpersonal skills.

Travel has always been an important part of my life. I have visited many countries across Europe, as well as the United States, Canada, Iceland, Russia, Japan, Marocco, Georgia, Nepal, and others. I especially enjoy travelling by motorbike, camping in nature, and discovering new cultures and ways of living. These experiences have taught me adaptability, curiosity, and respect for different perspectives.

At this stage of my life, I am looking for meaningful experiences rather than simply a place to stay. I am interested in adventures that allow me to learn new skills, contribute to a project, meet inspiring people, and grow both personally and professionally. I believe that the more we learn and experience, the more we can give back to others, to our relationships, and to our work.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Through my experiences as a teacher, volunteer, farm worker, waiter, fundraiser, entertainer, theatre actor, and accountant, I have developed strong adaptability, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. I am comfortable working with people from different backgrounds, handling responsibilities, and adapting to new environments. My theatre experience also helped me build confidence, creativity, public speaking skills, and emotional awareness. I am physically fit, hardworking, organized, and able to stay calm under pressure. These experiences have strengthened my independence, resilience, and ability to learn quickly and contribute positively to any team.
