Description
Hi! We are Lucy and Rhys a couple from Kent, England setting out on a world tour. Starting January 1st 2025 we are heading to New Zealand for 3 months, Australia for a year and then let’s see where we end up from there. We are hoping to experience as much as possible along the way and would love to help you if we can. Between the two of us we have lots of, what we hope are, useful skills that might mean we can be a help to you.
Rhys is an experienced animal keeper who has worked with a large variety of animals including farm animals, working huskies(UK, Alaska and Sweden), Birds of prey and reptiles over more than 12 years. For the last two years Rhys has been manager and head presenter at a wildlife foundation. In this role he has managed groups of animals daily needs and teams of workers as well as leading public demonstrations to large groups of visitors. Rhys also has labouring and basic trade skills, lots of experience maintaining fences, animal enclosures and general manual labour.
Lucy is a fully qualified nursery practitioner working with children in high end, demanding nurseries and home environments. She has experience with children ranging in age from newborns to 10 years old and of differing needs. Lucy has worked with various SEN children including children who are non verbal, physically disabled and children with Down’s syndrome. She is calm, patient and caring with all children no matter their personality and needs. Lucy also has some experience with manual labour jobs and is a hard worker that will happily do any physical jobs.
