Currently at home after travelling the world for half a year. I love nature, hiking, yoga, photography, and connecting with people and animals. I'll start traveling again in November :)

  • Description

Hi there! My name is Magdalena, I'm 37 years old and enjoy discovering new places and cultures.
Travel has played an important role in my life and continues to shape how I see the world. At the moment, I'm focused on living fully, exploring thoughtfully, and learning from the experiences that come my way.

At the end of last year, I left my job to travel full-time again. Since then, I’ve been on the road exploring Latin America and Southeast Asia. I have previously spent two longer periods in India — one for a full year and another for six months. Each journey has taught me something new, not only about the world, but also about myself.

One of the things I truly love is being in nature — especially around animals. Their presence grounds me, fills my heart with joy, and brings a sense of peace I can’t quite put into words.

I’ve been a vegetarian since I was eleven years old, and I absolutely love discovering new plant-based dishes from different cultures. Food is such a beautiful expression of connection and tradition, and I’m always curious to try something new.

When it comes to helping out, I’m happy to lend a hand wherever support is needed. I enjoy meaningful work and love being part of something that creates positive impact — no task is too small if it helps the bigger picture.

People often describe me as open-minded, warm, easy-going, and fun to be around. I value good conversations, shared laughter, and genuine connection, and I always bring a positive and respectful attitude wherever I go.

I'm really looking forward to connecting, learning, and contributing — wherever the next step may take me!

Plus de détails sur les langues qui m'intéressent
I’d be happy to teach or support others in learning German (my native language) or English, which I speak fluently (C1 level). In terms of learning: I startet learning Spanish more actively in Costa Rica and Ecuador (though I am still an absolute beginner!), and I’d love to pick up some French again if the opportunity arises. I studied French in school and university, but it’s been a long time and I’ve forgotten most of it — so I’d be happy for a chance to refresh it! Wherever I go, I also like to learn at least a few basic phrases in the local language, as I find it’s a meaningful way to connect with people and show respect for the culture.

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

While I wouldn't call myself an expert in any one thing, I believe I bring a warm and versatile set of skills — and more importantly, a good heart and a helpful attitude.

I have a natural connection with animals and truly enjoy being around them. Whether it's caring for them, simply spending time together, or helping with their environment, I feel at peace and happy in their company.

I also have an eye for beauty and love capturing moments through photography. I'm not a professional, but I do have a good sense for atmosphere and aesthetics.

When it comes to working with people — whether adults or children — I find it easy to connect, communicate, and create a positive environment. I’m calm, respectful, and open, and people tend to feel at ease around me.

I’m also not afraid to get my hands dirty. I’m happy to help in the garden, with DIY projects, small repairs, or whatever needs to be done — even if I’m still learning by doing most of the time. I enjoy cooking ( vegetarian or vegan), and I’m always up for sharing meals or trying out new recipes.

On a more practical level, I’m quite organized and good at keeping an overview of things — I’m currently leading a social project, which requires coordination, communication, and a bit of creative problem-solving. That’s helped me develop a sense of structure, even in ever-changing situations.

    Languages:
German (native) – happy to teach or help others learn
English (C1 level – fluent and confident)
Spanish – currently learning, starting more actively from January on

Above all, I’m curious, willing to learn, and happy to contribute wherever I can. If I don’t know how to do something yet, I’ll probably enjoy figuring it out.

I absolutely love reading — getting lost in a good book is one of my favorite ways to unwind and recharge. I also have a deep love for water — swimming, bathing, the ocean, rivers, lakes... I feel happiest when I’m in or around water.

And wherever I go, I’m always curious to try the local food — it’s such a fun and delicious way to experience the culture!
