I'm living between Torino, Locarno and Venezia. I'd like to visit some Workaway place in Switzerland and northern Italy right now.

Description

Hello there, I'm Tiziano, I'm 31 years old, Italian and originally from Torino. My last Workaway experiences were in 2021, in Estavayer in Switzerland and on Ometepe island in Nicaragua. I also spent six months in Idaho when I was younger, attending high school and living with a local family, which is where I really learned English. I'm on WA again because it feels like a good moment to do some exploring and meet new people.

In recent years I've been very focused on my projects and have lived mostly between Torino, Locarno and Venezia. Growing up in Torino until 18, I became increasingly sensitive to food quality, air and water, so these days I naturally prefer quieter places, hills and nature.

At the moment I'm in a period where concentration on business means a lot to me. Most of what I do is at the computer. I’m saving to buy land and build a house in Switzerland.

My work has been for private clients. Since 2015, I’ve been active in fintech, and since May 2025 I’ve been building prototypes for online services as a solopreneur under my new brand CryptoHelvetia Labs. Alongside that, I run a YouTube channel where I occasionally publish videos about my interests and projects. Over time I’ve also become quite nerdy about AI agents, especially Claude, Codex, Cursor and Grok. Technology interests me when it serves a purpose; I’m fairly indifferent to the hype around it.

Workaway came to mind because I’m not someone who travels constantly, especially in recent years, partly because I genuinely like where I live in Ticino. One exception is Auroville in India, where I’ve been seven times, usually staying for about a month each time. I already have good circles of friends between Locarno, Torino and Venezia, but I’m curious to spend time with a like-minded family and see how they live day to day, especially as I’d like to have a family of my own in the future.

As help I could provide, I'm genuinely good at preparing food and care a lot about quality. I usually buy from local producers, farms and organic shops, and I'd be very happy to help with sourcing ingredients and cooking during my stay. Cooking for several people also comes quite naturally to me. If you're curious about eating better, I'm always happy to share what I've learned about food over the years.

Being around kids is something I like, so living with a family with children feels very natural to me and is actually a part of everyday life I appreciate.

Walking in nature, running and swimming are among the things I like most. These days I've been coding with agents most afternoons, taking breaks every hour to swim at the Lido on Locarno lake.

I don't smoke and rarely drink, usually natural wine on special occasions. I don't drink coffee or tea.

Around the house I can help with buying and preparing meals, something I already spend quite a lot of time doing for myself, as well as sharing time with the kids. I'm less experienced with complex DIY or manual tasks, but reliable with simple physical work. I have a driving licence, although I don't drive regularly.

On the digital side, I can contribute quite a lot. I’ve built dozens of websites and digital tools, including more complex cultural and tech-related projects focused on data management, intelligent archives and data-driven interactions. I can also handle front-end and web design quite well, especially with the help of AI tools. If you're building a cultural project, a business, or planning to start one, I'd be interested in getting involved and contributing where my skills can be useful.
