Hello there! You are looking for someone who is reliable, hard-working and has a positive attitude? My name is Tina, I am 24 years old and I grew up in the south of Germany in a family of five. Right now, I am riding my bike from my hometown to Spain and will therefore pass Switzerland and France. :)
In my teenage years, I discovered my love for travelling. Travelling to me doesn’t mean to rush from one big city to the next. To me it means learning. Learning from strangers, who might eventually turn into friends, learning about new cultures and languages, learning new skills, learning from and about the nature, but most importantly learning to use all of that experiences to become a better version of myself.
Only being 16 years old, I decided to participate in a ten months student exchange program in Michigan, USA. That time made me grow a lot and made me become very independent and open-minded.
Furthermore, I am polite, can adopt quickly and love to laugh and joke around. At the same time, I can fulfill tasks precisely and am willing to work very hard.
I rather like to spend time outside than inside. Being active and doing sports is very important to me since I have a lot of energy. Riding my bike, going for a swim or hiking in the mountains, which are very close to my hometown, brings lots of joy to me.
Since I love to help people, I joined the local lifeguarding team two years ago. I don’t earn money with it but that really doesn’t matter to me since friendships and lessons for life are worth so much more. I got to know so many awesome people while lifeguarding at the nearby lake and learned a lot about first aid and rescuing people out of the water.
Besides being active, I also love playing board- /card games or reading a good book.

Workaways done so far:
- Cleaning beaches/ islands in Norway with an NGO called "In the same boat" while living on a sailboat with other volunteers (2 months)
- working at an orphanage in Uganda for 3 months
