Description
Located between the beautiful Coral Coast of Viti Levu and Nadi, Fiji we are a sweet spot surrounded by an organic garden and bordering a marine sanctuary. The location, once a bustling family home has been evolving into a bnb homestay /retreat and event location.
We are a point where we would like to explore engaging the right couple for a long term period to manage and grow what we have built so far. Our vision is to explore compatibility through workaway before before formalising an agreement.
Ideally the couple would have combined experience and passion for the following:
- Managing hospitality, accommodation, events, or a similar lifestyle property.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Current driver's licence.
-Social media or digital marketing
-Small business operations
-Ability to perform physically active work including gardening and maintenance.
-First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
-Police clearance and references.
-Ability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays when events require.
-Event Management experience
-Horticulture or Permaculture training
-Trade/build or maintenance skills
-Love dogs
- Be creative and solution based
-Environmentally conscious
- Be willing and able to enlist and work with volunteers from workaway when needed.
The Opportunity
This role is ideally suited to a couple who complement each other's strengths—for example, one partner with hospitality, guest relations, and administration expertise, and the other with property maintenance, gardens, and facilities management. Together, you will become the custodians of a beautiful coastal sanctuary, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience while preserving the property's natural beauty for future generations.
During the exploration time, you have two exchange options:
1. Accommodation and breakfast ingredients with occasional pot luck or dinner invites, and sharing of surplus garden produce in exchange 4 hours per day.
OR
2. Accommodation only in exchange for 3 hours per day. (We recently added this due to a workaway policy)
Weekends are off where you go out to sightsee or kick back a chill.During these days, you take care of all your own meals. Please make time to visit the local market for your supplies for your meals. You have use of a fully outfitted kitchen which you will share periodically with a live in care-keeper and it is a strict requirement that this communal space is kept clean.
In your free time, You can beach-comb, swim, surf, kayak, trek, visit our sand dunes national park or pottery villages. There are lots to see and do!! We encourage workawayers to go out on their off days.. especially weekends to explore local surrounds.
The property is strictly non-smoking/vaping
Time frame is 2 weeks + depending on suitability.
It takes 1.5 hours to get to the coast from the airport and buses are frequent. Look up Sunbeam and Pacific Transport for bus schedules from the airpot. You would bus to our town, Sigatoka, and catch a taxi from town to ours. Exact location shared closer to you arrival date.
We don't have wifi, however, Internet connection is good here and you can access you can by purchasing a Digicel data plan sim from the airport with options of $50 for 180GB or $70 for 230GB
We prefer that you arrive before 6:30 pm and during a week day. If your flight arrival is during the weekend, we ask that you stay in Nadi and come to us on a weekday. Before contacting us, Please consider our requirements for the above stating your relevant combined skills/ and we look forward to meeting and welcoming you. Vinaka! -

Autres infos...
In your free time, You can beach comb, swim, surf, trek, visit our sand dune national park or pottery villages. We have some great surf breaks close by, if you plan on surfing, bring your board or a surf kit to repair a board to use here.
We have a pristine bay 35 min walk away. We prefer that you go out during your 'off' time, and are flexible should you wish to do an occasional full day and take the next full day off. Local buses and passenger vans are fairly frequent and cost a a couple of Fiji dollars to and from most places.
