Hello!

My name is Tim, I’m 19 years old and currently finishing my Abitur (German A-Levels) at an economics high school in Frankfurt, Germany. Before starting university this August, I would love to travel, explore new cultures, and become part of everyday life in a host family :)

I am a very open-minded, positive, and active person. I love spending time in nature—whether it’s exploring new places, being outdoors, or simply enjoying the moment. As a passionate endurance athlete, sport plays a big role in my life. Besides that, I enjoy cooking and photography, and I always appreciate sharing these interests with others. I don’t smoke and value a balanced and active lifestyle (with the occasional glass of wine here and there, lol).

Another important part of my life is music. I have been playing the piano since childhood and occasionally perform classical pieces in concerts. I especially enjoy how music and the arts bring people from different cultures together to share and enjoy the moment.

During school holidays, I spent several weeks traveling across Europe in a really small van, which taught me how little you actually need to feel at home. I’m a very optimistic person, truly enjoy being around people and look forward to getting involved in everyday life—whether helping with household tasks, cooking, or working outdoors. I’m reliable, motivated, and always eager to learn new skills.

What I love about Workaway is the opportunity to experience the authentic way of life in a new place, far beyond typical tourism. For me, it’s a meaningful way to connect with people, contribute, and create unforgettable experiences together.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Alongside school, I worked for about 2 years on construction sites, specializing in theatre and stage building. I enjoy taking photos and playing the piano. However, I can also do physical stuff, cook meals, helping around the house, play with children, dogs, cats and much more. I live in a household with a cat, a dog and colonies of bees :))
