Hello!

My name is Teigue, I am 18 years old from the UK.

Welcome to my profile.

I have lived in a small village in the centre of England for the entirety of my life, often getting involved in agricultural projects. I have been fortunate enough to see the beauty of the English countryside through all four seasons growing up, gaining an interest in the outside world and a green thumb (Monty Don’s gotta watch out). My upbringing gave me an opportunity that many do not get to have, gaining rural experiences. Through my experiences in the countryside, I have developed a strong drive for eco-living and environmentally sustainable projects. However, after finishing my studies (A-Levels), I am finally ready to take the chance and travel to see the world.

Sailing on traditional (Gaff Rigged) vessels has been a part of my life from a very young age, being situated reasonably close to Rutland water. My knowledge and skills at sea have proven to be useful and transferable into everything I do, also proving to be good stories to tell. Not only am I able to navigate my way through the water, but I learnt many soft skills, too. For example, the importance of teamwork and communication. These skills have been cherished by all employers I have had, and I take pride in them. I have also worked with horses, and around the farm, too. Learning to ride at a young age, I also started to compete, though my sailing and art took centre stage in my later adolescent years; though that doesn’t mean I shy away from physical work! I like getting my hands dirty when needed!

One of my true passions, though, is art. Taking A-Level art proved to be a test of my skills, work ethic, and motivation. However, two years later - I made it! I was able to produce an interesting, vibrant, and unique portfolio presenting my skills. I love to create. Creation is a beautiful thing to me. My work ethic needed for my artwork is transferable into any working environment! My passion for design has led me into fashion and interior design, often jumping at every opportunity to express myself. I have a keen interest in history and architecture, enjoying learning more about different cultures and ways of expression - often finding myself drawn towards how such historical events affect our world today.

Experiencing difficulties in my later adolescence, I learnt to be independent and thereby developed my culinary skills - finding cooking to be a hobby and a stress reliever, often cooking for friends (no one ever goes hungry after seeing me)! I have also learnt to be tidy and organised through my independence, though often finding creativity and inspiration in chaos! The upheaval allowed me to be placed outside of my comfort zone, thereby allowing me to develop my current interests.

I am a native English speaker, and have had a basic foundation in French, too. I am currently interested in studying a variety of new languages. And what better way to do so than through travelling!

I am an experienced Lino Print artist and often specialise in painting portraiture! I have also worked as front of house and bartending in the past, learning customer support and care. I have a keen passion for sailing and have thereby developed carpentry skills through boat work.
