Hey!

We are Tamika and Johanna, a queer couple on our big euro adventure together! Here's a bit about us both.

Tamika - a travelling Aussie looking for some great natural landscapes and unique experiences. I come from Sydney, Australia and have recently quit my job to travel Europe with my partner before settling down in Europe. I've worked for the last 6 years in public policy so am super excited to do something new. I'm a pretty easy going and respectful person. I always try to make the most of whatever situation I find myself in (be it a rainy day or cancelled flight). I hope to make some treasured memories on my work-away.

Johanna - Hi :) I‘m Johanna, originally from Germany, but I had the pleasure of living in 8 other countries throughout the last decade. I‘m super keen to discover new places and meet people from different cultures and pick up some new languages (chances are I can even hold smalltalk with you in your mother language :D). I am very curious and have a hands on approach to things and like to fully immerse myself into new projects. I’m not afraid to ask questions and get my hands dirty in the process. I’m super excited to get to know more of Europe and see some new landscapes and get to know people with shared values and exchange travel tales, recipes and languages. Looking forward to meeting you soon!

As queer woman, having an LGBT friendly host is very important to us both. Of course like everyone, we like clear communication and kindness in our companions.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

DIY: Tamika is relatively confident with basic tools. She has experience putting up kitchen cupboards, painting fences, and building some basic furniture items. She would be keen to do this kind of work (ideally with some guidance).

Gardening: We love being in the garden and am happy to get stuck into weeding, digging, planting, and whatever you need.

Digital skills and writing: Tamika is experienced in using Canva, Mailchimp, LinkedIn (can provide networking guidance). I have also written (English only) extensively as part of my public policy work so can assist with copy/editing and drafting.

Music: Tamika loves to sing! She can play the guitar and piano (definitely still an amateur) and loves to perform.

Animal care: Johanna has previous experience with working with animals, mainly de-fleeing, nailclipping and other grooming activities.

Childcare: Both of us have extensive experience in babysitting and are great with kids

Social media: At my previous job I was doing marketing on several social media platforms and I‘m happy to help with advertising your projects and boost your online presence
